  2. 20-10 Ducks! 1 Husker TO 3 Duck sacks 225 Duck passing yds
  3. That you must be in a double with Rip Van Winkle if this surprises you.
  4. Terrific article, thank you. I'm with Charles. What happens when you unleash players who don't need a leash to begin with? Are there dogs on the roster ready to be slipped? Crucial helmet-on-helmet run straight at 'em plays were stuffed by UCLA last Saturday. And have been repeatedly stuffed by every opponent except Portland State. The two tackles on the 2025 team and a starting guard are on NFL Rosters. Poncho's play will lead to him being drafted. With their PFF grades to date, other O-line starters, if draft-eligible, would be fortunate to sign free agent deals. Out of the portal, Dan signed one O-lineman, a young man who played FCS football. Perhaps the money wasn't available, but if available, Dan and the other coaches overvalued returning players. Oregon can't run the ball. I'm not convinced that a change to a smash-mouth system with the same personnel will improve OL play. Based on what I have seen to date, Oregon must find ways to get the ball to its explosive playmakers in space. Move players around to get them in space. This worked at SC with short passes to Hill that led to big gains and opened up passing lanes downfield. And Jeremiah Johnson has to be targeted more than twice in a game. Thanks for the post and welcome back.
  5. With what we spend on NIL it's hard for me to get worked up about this type of thing. It's not like we are a have not. This is college football now where even guys come back from the Pros to play
  6. This is not installing a new offense. The Ducks playbook already has Gap Scheme plays; this is more about changing the plays we are calling for our primary scheme. The slide step lateral outside zone block while staying connected with a DL who is slanting a gap and reading where/timing on a double is harder for our young OL. These kids started youth football in Gap Scheme - power, dives and counter. A drive block with a quick double team is the foundation OL kids build off. We are struggling to do anything very well on the OL, especially Pass Pro and the Outside Zone. Sometimes the system needs to fit your personal and you adapt it to what they can do.
  7. Ducks 31-27 2 TO 2 Sacks 215 Passing Yards (more than one QB will account for this)
  8. Today

  9. This is against my better judgement...... Oregon wins 24-20 1 - TO 2 - Sacks 188 yards passing 24 points is a big ask for a stagnant office, a 2nd or 3rd string QB and a lackluster offensive O Line. Go Ducks.
  10. "Mercenaries are worthless, disunited, unfaithful. And they have nothing more to keep them in a battle but a meager wage. And it's just enough to make them want to kill for you But not enough for them to want to die for you." -John Cale
  11. 20-13 Ducks 2 Turnovers 2 Sacks 220 passing yards Wearing my lucky sneakers undefeated in them.
  12. Physical maturity and mental maturity are quite often not on the same page. NIL is not something you’ve necessarily earned; it’s something you’ve simply taken advantage of.
  13. It feels like a CF take on MLB’s home-stretch trade policy when the big boys with a shot to contend load-up for the final push. Maybe it’s Michigan that needs the restraining order and not the players.
  14. Oregon... 24-15 2 T/O @ S 274 YP I'm trying to learn to adjust to more modest expectations.
  15. Kinda like getting married! First marriages fail 45-50% of the time. Second marriages fail 2/3rds of the time. Third marriages fail 3/4th of the time.
  16. I agree with John here. A 50/50 risk/reward ratio is terrible in real life, which is exactly what the pros and cons are of doing it this early in the game. Dan is taking the points on field goals and now I expect will begin taking the points on PATs.
  17. Oregon 23 Neb 20 1 To 2 sacks 245 Yards passing
  18. Actually, I read it here first. Thank you!
  19. Marsh Duck - Trust in Lanning is Breaking Not in this home.
  20. Oregon 31-17 1 to 4 sacks 280 passing yards
  21. Does our center have another year?
  22. It's the right thing and I've been a long time proponent of a top 24 team playoff. However with the extra games and NIL spreading out this will cause will reduce the odds we win a natty in any given year. We have missed our high probability window. But hey, hello 9-3 teams that can turn it around and make a deep run, it will be more fun.
  23. I just hope the highly rated OT's that are true freshmen will stick around and develop, if they can move with 360 lbs (or maybe get down to 330 for next year without losing strength) maybe the future for 2-3 more years at OT will be grand, with improved OLine coaching we'll bring in more 5* linemen and portals
  24. Great idea for next year, but there is only so much change you can install mid year.
  25. Oregon 42-6 3 to 3 sacks 275 passing yards
  26. Nebraska wins 21-17 0 take-away turnovers 0 sacks 117 passing yards sorry...
