  2. How Dante responds with pressure. Has the game slowed for him? How well does he see the D and his checks. Basically all mental. How has he grown with a year of starting and another off season.
  3. Positions I'm watching like a hawk: RT and Nickel. Coaching- looking for aggressive play calling of intermediate and deep passes by the OC and stunts and pressures (of the unsimulated variety) by the DC. Definitely looking for OL effectiveness creating running lanes for RBs and pass protection for Dante. Everything else should go swimmingly, well except possibly special teams as you mentioned. That is our biggest lack of returning production. If our kicker can't make kicks, if our punts only go 30 yards and our returners fumble, then this whole special season is going to be messed up by special teams. I will be interested in seeing the backups and freshmen to get an idea of who is already playing above the line football.
  4. If this is what makes it work....to bend to something minor that the SEC wants....fine.
  5. Mike...you checked all the boxes I had, although I would also love to see Freshman RB Brandon Smith play and show us what we have been hearing about! Well, him and another freshman in Gatlin Bair! Yeah, BABY!
  6. Great to see so many people back, and have found the new web address!

  9. On3 had notes from Ross Dellenger and Andy Staples on the topic of ten Power 4 opponents yesterday. Dellenger reported that Commissioner Sankey said he wouldn't consider a 24-team playoff without ten Power4 opponents. Commissioner Pettiti told Andy Staples he would support if if it got Sankey to back a 24-team Playoff. In the 2026 season, the SEC now has 9 conference games per program, and also each of the 16 teams have a 10th opponent who is from the ACC, Big12 or Big Ten. The Big Ten's 18 programs have 5 this season without a Power4 tenth opponent: Indiana, Penn St, Nebraska, USC and Washington. Oregon has a tenth opponent via their trip to Oklahoma State. But, currently, the schedule in 2027, 2028, 2029 does not include a 10th Power4 opponent. Schedules beyond 2029 aren't fully built.
  10. I want to get a read on how physical our defense will play this year, and whether the O line gives DM an opportunity to throw downfield from the pocket. Then, find out early who is QB2.
  11. Jiminy Christmas, folks. I've never seen so much wide-eyed confidence in all my years I'm afraid we aren't going to be able to beat Ohio State just yet. 10-2 Playoffs Lose in the semis.
  12. On Offense: -I'm excited to see Evan Stewart back healthy along with a healthy DAK. Injuries have sunk our last two playoff runs and entire defenses should have to game plan around one of these guys, but both along with McClellan? This could be Oregon's best group of receivers top to bottom ever! -OLine cohesiveness. I don't expect perfection against a talented Bronco team, but I don't want to see a repeat of 2 years ago. On Defense: -Inside Linebacker Instincts. Our ILB strengths have been speed and pass coverage. We will have a new defensive "QB's" this year. Our defensive line should occupy everyone up front to keep the ILB's clean. How well can they "sniff out" plays? Do they have the natural instincts to carry us deep into the playoffs? -3rd down. Can we get off the field? Madsen is a veteran QB, so this will be a solid Game 1 test for our defense. -Safeties. I think we're all looking forward to the debut of Koi Perich, but how about Carl Williams IV coming over from Baylor along with 5-star phenoms Trey McNutt (injured last year) and Jett Washington? Will they make immediate impacts this year? Special Teams: -Making field goals. Please let us have a solid kicker this year!! -Punt Returner 1. Who gets the gig? I hold my breath on every punt catch. This player has the most trusted hands on the team.
  13. Oregon 31-7 1 Turnover 2 Sacks 234 passing yards
  14. It is only a drop in the bucket when you realize they have a $500 Mil deficit since joining the BIG.
  15. When Kiffin was quoted in the WSJ as saying, "To win at the highest level you have to become the villain in someone's story," he essentially admitted he can't win without breaking the rules (i.e. cheating).
  16. I hate opening the season against those Spudknockers. I know we're a huge favorite, but I say we win 38-27 2 turnovers 5 sacks 288 passing yards
  17. The B1G Labor Day started as small as it could. Rutgers -29.5 at kickoff; lost to UMass 21-37. In the preseason, CBS Sports ranked FBS teams 1 through 138. The UMass Minutemen were the Anchormen, coming in at No. 138. Adding insult to injury, Rutgers paid the Minutemen $1.55 million to visit Piscataway. That's a lot of money to P-away a game. Shame on Greg Schiano. The Scarlet (Faced) Knights' D was as bad as last season, and the O was mostly missing in action. What in Hades is Rutgers doing with its full share of media money? Beware Week 1 overreactions. I get it. But other than the game against Howdy, er, Howard in Week 4, this game was the easiest on the schedule. The folks at Boston College are looking forward to Rutger's Week 2 visit. The Big Ten is 0-1 versus the MAC.😧 --- Indiana State at Purdue - 4 PM BTN A Boilermakers meltdown against the FCS Sycamores would be worse than the Rutgers no-show. It won't happen. --- Toledo at Michigan State - 5 PM FS1 Hurrah! The Big Ten has a chance to even the score versus the MAC. But it won't be easy. --- 1-0 No. 14 USC vs Fresno State - 6 PM Fox Fresno is a better opponent than San Jose State, and in front of at least 54,000 fans, I think SC will keep the varsity on the field later into the 4th quarter and win convincingly in the B1G's first game versus the New World, Revived and Resurrected, Pac-8 plus Gonzo. 🤪 BTW, SC's next two opponents? LA-LA in LA and Rutgers in P-town. --- Winners! Minnesota 59 - FCS Eastern Illinois 7 A tough week for E. Ill's Tony Romo wasn't much better for his alma mater. --- No. 33 Illinois 42 - UAB 23 A win fueled by an incredible end of the 2nd half Hail Mary TD for the Illini. But in the CBS Sports ranking mentioned above, the American Athletic Conference UAB Blazers team came in at No. 125. The switch on defense to a 3-3-5 base formation is a work in progress. --- To date, the B1G is 1-0 vs the Mountain West, the American Athletic Conference, and the FCS. 0-1 vs MACtion. 🤬 --- No. 7 Miami at 1-0 Stanford - 6 PM - ESPN The Hurricanes blow into Palo Alto as a -24.5 favorite. But this is Mario at Stanford Stadium?😁 BEAT BOISE!
  18. Ducks win 41-14 4 TOs 3 sacks 240 passing yards
  19. 11-1 play offs win it all! 39 ppg offense 16 ppg defense Win NC 28-17
  20. Oregon golfer Wyndham Clark is ranked No. 3 in professional golf, behind only Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy. Wyndham's terrific bounce-back season included his second US Open championship. Clark will be back in action later this month when the USA takes on The World (minus Europe) in the Presidents Cup, which will be played at Medinah CC in Chicago. https://www.cbssports.com/golf/news/golf-rankings-power-18-2026-season-scottie-scheffler-wyndham-clark/?eid=c7d8647c6247db8d08c59fe44bc30380a147aa90b9e33099045cd46ddc6a485b&ftag=SNL-04-10aaa0b&ET_CID=579
  21. 11-1 38.1 ppg offense 15.1 ppg defense Win NC 24-21 on last minute FG
  22. Oregon 45-14 3 TOs 4 Sacks 285 Passing yards
  23. The Boise State players and Coach Spencer Danielson know the team has to show up for the Broncos' sole regular-season game on national television. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/boise-state-oregon-group-of-sixs-cfp/?eid=c7d8647c6247db8d08c59fe44bc30380a147aa90b9e33099045cd46ddc6a485b&ftag=SNL-04-10aaa0b&ET_CID=579941&ET_RID=524827 I hope all Forum Friends and national talking heads predicting a walkover for OBD are spot on. Early on, I think Oregon could be put on the spot. This game is Boise State's regular-season Super Bowl. BEAT BOISE!
  24. 45-17 Ducks 2 TO’s 3 sacks 283 passing yards
  25. Rutgers paid UMass $1.55 million to be an OOC victim. BRILLIANT! https://www.yardbarker.com/college_football/articles/rutgers_hits_rock_bottom_after_embarrassing_week_1_loss/s1_13132_44256505?utm_source=mb&utm_medium=email&mb_edition=20260904&mb_loc=left
