Watching Georgia against Alabama tonight was like watching another level of football after watching today's Duck game.

Time to re-open the QB competition?

Oregon v Nebraska
Next week at Nebraska should be interesting. The Huskers came rather close to beating a very good Indiana team today.

AMEN Charles, AMEN! What is the mood tonight on the Texas, Bama, LSU, Florida, Texas A&M, and Bama boards? Heading into Week 7, the B1G has two undefeated teams: 6-0 Indiana and 5-0 UCLA. Six B1G teams have one loss: Ohio State, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. The SEC has one undefeated team, 6-0 Georgia. Seven SEC Teams have one loss: Alabama, Kentucky, Ole Miss, MS State, Missouri, Tennessee, and Texas. Having a big budget does not mean a team will be great. Ask Michigan and Texas A&M fans. For whatever reason(s), a veteran team has been dysfunctional since the opening game. After Dante went down, there was unity and purpose in LA, and a will to win that disappeared during the bye week. A will to win that has been missing this season. Entropy infects every system. Complacency allows chaos to come through the door. Exhibit A is the behemoth IBM that was almost taken down by two college dropouts with a better idea. Faulty evaluations were made in the off-season that have come home to roost. It's terribly disappointing to go from a team ranked 2nd in the preseason to this. But keep on supporting the team and hope that Dan will not allow a disappointing season to morph into the situations at Clemson and Penn State. Back against the wall, do the best to win seven straight. A nasty Nebraska team is headed to Eugene in Week 7, a team that played its guts out against Indiana and is every bit as talented as UCLA, including at QB. Fans of every team in every sport will suffer depression. It's the nature of competition. Teams lose, which is OK; playing without a will to win is inexcusable. HUSK the Huskers!

Man, I was absolutely wrung out by the time the clock hit 0.00 in Autzen today. I immediately was cast in to another hand wringing contest in Tuscaloosa that, fortunately and thankfully, turned out better for me. As I have matured (I turned 80 this year), I have slowly learned to take defeat with disappointment rather than bitterness or anger. It is part of becoming a true fan rather than a sour critic. Hang in there Duck fans.

Worst Offensive Performance Since?
Last year, Lanning could have brought in nearly any QB coach and or OC he wanted. His last two other OCs had both gotten head coaching gigs after only one and two years with the Ducks. So yes, ANY coaches he wanted. We were told to trust the process and Lanning's track record to that point gave him the benefit of the doubt. This feels way to similar to Helfrich's in house DC hire that brought upon his downfall a couple years later. Also, how can the O line be this bad? I mean THIS BAD! The freaking Beavers offense is looking great. They moved the ball much better against Texas Tech than OBD did against UCLA. How? Nearly every play the offense makes looks like an epic struggle. Every yard up the middle, every third down conversion, every pass play. Bubble screens to nowhere. No hitting receivers in stride. Every play seems like hoping. Never attacking. We had two great back to back runs to the outside and were moving the chains. Had the Bruins on there heals. Finally taking control of the game with a nice drive. So what now? Some wildcat trickeration, a fumble and drive over. A successful drive is not the time to get cute. Coaching malpractice. This offense looks worse than Mario's. The scope of regression by this years offense has been unbelievable.

Does this Game Change You as a Fan?
No. OBD 4 LIFE!! 😁 What it does is remind me that college football is hard. Sustaining success is hard. And that we have had a LOT of success, so a few losses here and there doesn't mean it's the end of the world.

I'm a Duck fan for life. But if our roster is really getting paid more than $40 MILLION!!? I'm at a loss for words of understanding.

Worst Offensive Performance Since?
And I think everyone out here is Duck Fanville during the offseason verbalized wanting to know when the O-line was going to be reinforced with some experience, or better yet, some talent via the portal. Apparently, the coaches knew something we all didn't. And here we are. What a massive disappointment in the offense and coaching of our Ducks.

A Bunch of BS..
Tough loss today, and obviously not where any of us hoped this season would be headed. But maybe missing the playoffs gives Dan Lanning and this staff some time to really dig into the issues that have hurt this team and get them corrected. There’s still plenty to play for. Finish the season strong, get into a good bowl game and win it, then hopefully close things out with a strong recruiting haul and build some momentum going into next year. A couple losses don’t mean the entire season has to be a failure. Oregon can still have a good season, finish on a high note, and use this as an opportunity to get better. Go Ducks. 🦆

A dubious honor, but a tip of the cap for being right.

There's no way UO scores 35 points against LSU. An all star receiver core, multiple 5 star QBs, great RBs 4 star O line with 4 star back ups and maybe the best tight end in the country and still would not be close to scoring 35 against LSU.

We saw the very best version of our team against USC, with everyone locked in, and they were barely beating them. It was USC at it's best, but honestly I still expected our ceiling to be higher, but it isn't. I do agree we will be up and down the rest of the year, with the real challenge being keeping a bunch of players who can say "oh, well at least I got mine (NIL)" once we lose a third game and we no longer have "everything in front of us." Coach Lanning's greatest strength and greatest weakness is the personal connection. It carries the team through rough times, but biases what should be tough business decisions.

Unlike some head coaches he certainly seems to get the best out of his roster.

A Bunch of BS..
We lost 5 fumbles today! 5 fumbles! That doesn’t mean there isn’t massive opportunity for improvement, but no team is going to win a Top 25 matchup giving away 5 fumbles on top of 2 interceptions. It’s close to impossible to go unbeaten in this day and age, but UCLA has a great shot of going 11-1 or 12-0. If Boise State wins tonight, our FBS opponents are a combined 20-3 on the year. It’s disappointing, but I don’t think we’re as bad as it looks. I hope Dylan Raiola recovers mentally from this. Not sure what happened out there. Many uncatchable throws for sure, but there was no one open at all today. At least what we were shown on TV. UCLA was flat out better prepared today and that’s a common theme.

That article is very accurate. But fixing the issues will shut down the haters. How many times before has Oregon looked like it would never bounce back?- Lanning's Post-Game Interview

If you are too mad, then don't post. You won't be able to control yourself. And if you are in that kind of state of mind, you probably won't have anything sensible to say either - just spewing anger about how much they suck. And if you do make a point, you won't recall that you just said that 30 seconds ago and will repeat yourself over and over again. Once you settle down a little and realize that it is just a game, then you should be fine and be able to dissect the game like a sports fan and not a raving maniac. So on a scale of 1 to 10 about how teed off you are, if you are an 8 or above, you should wait to post until you come down a little. That is my 2 cents for whatever it's worth. LSU in overtime with Kentucky. Oklahoma beat Texas. Nebraska almost beat Indiana. Just because you have good players, winning is no longer automatic. It is a new world. And just because your team lost, it doesn't mean your program is down the toilet. Lots of good teams will have a few losses this year.- Last Time Oregon Allowed Just 17, and Lost
14-17 in overtime in 2012 to Stanford at Autzen. Stanford had possession a bit over 37 minutes of the 60. UCLA had it 39:15. But, Oregon racked up yards against Stanford, just couldn't score. In the game today, there were no yards until late. The last time before that was 0-16 at UCLA in 2007.- Worst Offensive Performance Since?
