Just Like I Wrote About Raiola (LOL)
Maybe I am alone in thinking the plays on that last drive looked almost identical to the play calling all game. And I really don't care. I am sure OBD will not win playing, looking or coaching like that all year. But if they win ugly for the rest of my life, they win. I know I will age a thousand years, but I will take it. One damn day at a time. We are trying to solve every problem known to this team this very second. It is not going to happen. Tomorrow is another day. And let's be real here. We have not looked like a championship team Lanning's entire tenure. And he still wins a hell of a lot more than he loses.

Lincoln Riley : Morally Bankrupt?
Great win for the Gators! Golden Archie? And the Golden Texas roster. 😁

I Have a Gut Feeling What the Problem Is
I'm stressed too folks. But I am going to stand by Dan Lanning. WARTS AND ALL. I don't like what I see, and I don't care. I am willing to be patient. I know, and I believe all of us know just how difficult it is to win a title. Indiana got incredibly lucky last year. No matter how much fanfare Cignetti gets. If Carson Beck throws that pass five more yards downfield-Mario Cristobal would have been called a pretty damn good coach. Five yards folks. Remember that when you think Lanning has to be the most brilliant coach this planet has ever produced.

Just Like I Wrote About Raiola (LOL)
BT took care of the ball, but couldn't move the offense. I was happy to see him get the opportunity to start, but he should have been pulled at the half. I would have loved to see Akili Smith get a chance too, but it was great to watch Dylan get the come-back win against his former team. Still scratching my head about the play calling, but thank goodness for this defense. They are giving the team a chance to win.

Just Like I Wrote About Raiola (LOL)
I think coaching, scheme, and play calling is more to blame than the specific QB for the horrific first halves the last 2 games. And yes there were some brutal throws. After all of this, Dylan offers more and better chance to win for as long as Dante is out.

On the worst day for top-ranked teams since 1936, a win is a good win. Five of the top 10-ranked teams lost. Four ranked teams from the SEC lost: Georgia, Alabama, Texas, and Missouri. Will find out later today if the losses to other SEC teams will be considered to be losses. The defense could carry OBD to the playoffs. This was a better effort on defense than Indiana played against Nebraska. If Ohio State can keep winning with Julian Sayin out for at least three weeks, and OBD keeps winning, a win in Columbus would put Oregon in the top 12. High Praise For The Defense
It looked great in every respect. Something that we expected from the start of the season and started seeing against USC and UCLA. The offensive line looked better. Nebraska is good team. They took Indiana to the wire in their only earlier loss. I almost have the feeling like the one after The Pick, which fueled our 1994 season.

Just Like I Wrote About Raiola (LOL)
I did post the examples of QBs having good games and then a horrible one, followed by excellent play after that. That written, I wanted Thomas to start. Has it ever occurred though, that a QB had a good game (Riola v USC) followed by a terrible one (UCLA) followed by a good one, and his replacement in his off game looked good but then was ineffective when he replaced the first QB as a starter. If a Duck fan was imprisoned and had to watch most of the game tonight, it would violate the Constitution's prohibition of cruel and unusual punishment. As it turned out, it was a game I will always remember in a positive way.

Offense. It’s offensive. Lol Oregon football for decades had me believing we would get a touchdown on every drive yet today I doubted that we could even get a first down. Still predictable play calling, O—line issues, receivers can’t get open two games in a row. At what point does Drew really need to be stepped aside. And what is with Guys not knowing rules on special teams…coaching errors everywhere.

Which is More Startling to You....?
It's startling to me that DR was not given the entire first half to see how he could rebound from UCLA. Then it was startling to see the offensive plan was to play not to lose. Then it was startling to me to see BT not get benched to start the 3rd quarter. It's very startling that we won a game by only playing 1 quarter of intentional offense. But man I enjoyed the cage our D made for that squirrelly QB.

I would have put Raiola in after the first two possessions.

The offense. No question.

Which is More Startling to You....?
The last two games, under 60 yds offense at half-time. The offense.

Agree on all points…..and mystified by the decision to open the 2nd half with Brock as the QB. I’m sure Dan will explain it, but I was shocked when he trotted out there.

Which is More Startling to You....?
The offense was good on the final drive - that is what is startling to me. The same guys (with exception of QB) who were terrible all game, all of a sudden, learned how to play football. By the way, when a QB came in who was a threat to go deep, the O line could block. Probably because 5 didn't have to block all 11. What surprises me in a bad way is how bad Thomas was today and how bad Raiola was vs UCLA. What are they doing in practice all week that they can't get ready for Saturday? And I am surprised in a good way how good the defense has gotten since the first two games.
-
Which is More Startling to You....?
Easy - That the offense is so bad. But as Raiola said “we preserved in the end”. 🤣 A couple of things: 1) I can’t believe Lanning waited that long to make the switch, but I guess it worked. 2) The defense is really, really good.
-
Which is More Startling to You....?
Limited to those two: that our offense is bad. What actually surprises me is that our offense seemed limited for three quarters two games in a row, and then improved.
