Great points all around. My thoughts. Our run game will be key in establishing and maintaining long, sustained Scoring drives. I believe the ability to grind out 3-4 yards per carry between the tackles and 5-6 yards around the edge wewould be more than enough to wear down this stout TT Defense. Problem is TT doesn't give up nearly that many yards per carry albeit against slightly inferior and undersized opponents. Quarterback pressure, on both sides, will be another key to how the game flows. Our D has done a good job of QB containment but not as many sacks as you'd like to see after 13 games. As pointed out TT QB doesn't deal well with pressure. Making him "uncomfortable' and speed the game up for him will be important in forcing mistakes. Protecting Dante and giving him 3-4 seconds in the pocket and he will pick apart the TT secondary. TT don't blitz a lot but I fully expect several blitz packages to keep our O-line...on their toes...and give their free rusher several real shots at Dante. Not a whole lot of film on TT blitzing. Lastly, Play Clean, Green and Yellow Ducks from Eugene, Play Clean. Turnovers, Missed assignments and missed tackles, PENALTIES (especially those PI ones, late in games, that extend opponents drives by our Freshmen DB's), will be enough to sink OBD's run at a Natty for 2025. This TT team is full of NFL caliber players, as is OBD. Play to the best of your abilities and Play Clean and it will be difficult for TT to find ways around our coaching and talent to beat our Ducks and move on in the Playoffs (Playoffs???) in 2025. Dante Moore MVP of this game will be all you need to know that the Ducks won and move on. Win, or please No...Lose, this game should be one of, if not, the best game in the 2025 playoffs. The Red Raiders...National Champions 2025? "Stranger Things" have happened and this may actually be the most challenging game but personally, I like OBD's chances in hoisting that trophy in the end. But I'm major "homer" soooo....🙄 GO DUCKS! 👍

Not that I like agreeing with USC but yeah, Notre Dame's absolute refusal to join a conference, even out their schedules home and away, take advantage of its notoriety and tradition to artificially place itself in an advantaged position for post season play, that no other teams get the same consideration for (well maybe a few SEC teams). It is a shame to see another college football tradition fall by the wayside because of the amounts of money involved in letting those traditions die. Notre Dame will continue to "position" itself until they finally agree to joining a conference to ensure they remain the highest earner in whatever conference they eventually, grace their presence with. Until that happens (2035?), ND will be the "thorn in the side" of NFL-lite and will remain so until ND can be assured of preferential treatment to artificially boost their image so as to stay relevant in this new age of NIL, transfer portal, and high stakes program positioning. I don't have to like it but it is what it is. Go Ducks.

Being that I have a "fairly low" definition of a successful season, that being Ten wins each and every season before any playoff concideration, this is my thoughts. Looking at the youth of this team. The loss of both OC and DC coordinators, who have been here for a few years. Lanning still "learning?" the aspects and nuances of playoff football at the NFL-Lite level as The Head Coach. The fact you have to win 4 games vs. the two or single game on the previous iterations of the "playoffs" to be crowned champion. All this makes it that I would be satisfied and concider it a success when the Ducks reach the semifinals and are two games away from that elusive Natty. Honestly, I thought our run would be next year but if there is any true "dark horse" in this year's playoffs that has the ability to plow through to the National Championship, It Be Our Beloved Ducks! (Then we can make Next Year our first "repeat champion" of the D. Lanning era. 😁) 🦆🏈🪨'S

Personally I want Alabama to go down. A win by a three-loss SEC team somewhat "validates" choosing to put a three-loss SEC team, over several 2-loss teams in a twelve team playoff. HOWever, going to a 16 team PO combined with the SEC and ACC going to 9 game conference schedule probably mitigate much of that validation. OU offense is generally...uninspiring, but the defense is formable. Alabama is more balanced on both sides of the ball. If OU can turnover Alabama and minimize their own mistakes, at home, then I think OU pulls out a close 17-14 type game. If not, then same score, opposite result. So. Alabama 17-14.

Great read. My thought is that with NIL, the rush to "get the bag" is not as motivating as it was less than 10 years ago, thus allowing top players to continue to develop in NFL-Lite before moving on to the NFL-Heavy. This in addition to the "free for all" free agency via the transfer portal allows more opportunities to play in/with complete teams thus maximizing your abilities, being surrounded by equal or greater talent. The expectations to Win Now are currently far less demanding in NFL-lite than with the NFL-HEAVY, where you are playing with "grown*ssed", rather large and beefy, MEN that have developed their "ManMeat" against the elite players in all of football. Big difference between a sack from a linebacker two years outa high school and one by a ten year veteran with NFL playing experience. There just is. That all being said, Dante seems to have a solid support structure and people close to him that are more interested in his development, here at Oregon, rather than making a premature push to the NFL-Heavy. At least it appears that way. Dante himself has shown maturity and logic applied to his college career to date, and I fully expect him to make the appropriate and best decision for his professional football career. Dante's is going to have a long and fulfilling career ahead of him. I am hoping that he understands that an extra year under the Oregon banner can and will make him that much more valuable and efficient when he does move up to the NFL-Heavy. As a rabid Duck Dan, I am hoping that the best choice made is to return one more year to Defend(!) our first Natty and secure a second Oregon Football Heisman Winner in the past ten years. Either way we be good. Oregon Football is no longer a team that needs to rebuild after top talent leaves...we simply reload. Probably the most important aspect of the current Dan Lanning era. From what I have read, and heard, that most "Mormon players" that are serious about both their "mission obligations" and their football careers take seriously the need to at least maintain some level of training, knowing that they intend on returning to football once their faith obligation has been fulfilled. Serious players take their routines, seriously. Let's hope Bair be one of em. We shall see in a lil over eight months. 😁

LOL. Sounds a whole lot like how the NFL-Heavy works regarding practices. Strength, flexibility, precision, and stanima being a whole lot more important than "grinding it out" during practice to prepare for "grinding it out" in a game. After all, these players are already at peak physical conditioning, more important to fashion those skills towards an actual opponent, rather than each other. I'm sure there is a balance somewhere between the two extremes. QUACK!

What I think a large number of pundits and fans alike seem to forget or have not actually realized, is that this Oregon team is suppose to be a rebuilding/reloading team compared to the other top teams in the nation. The significant number of freshman starting on both sides of the ball plus new faces on both O and D lines, and a "new" starting QB that has performed better than expected, based on previous starting performances, had most thinking a minor stepback would occur (guess going from #1 seed to a #5 is a "stepback?). But, here we are with probably a better chance to "run the table" than we did last season. If Dante actually does return next season then OBD will be an even stronger unit and actually in a better position to compete in 2026 than they were this season. Which, I'm sure, is a scary, scary thought for not only the B1G, but the rest of NFL-lite football. 🦆🏈🪨's!

I do believe all the "outrage" is to strongarm the NFL-lite participants into accepting "terms" they might not necessarily want or agree with. IE: eight to nine conference games for SEC/ACC. Push for automatic qualifiers for top two mega-conferences. The continued dilution of the importance of the conference championship games. The bottom falling out of the mass amounts of "bowl games" that play to mostly empty stadiums with "depleted" rosters from opt outs. The narrative to include other (Western state) "bowls" via Vegas/SOFI stadium to even out playoff travel during an ever expanding playoff qualifiers size. And the one, thorny, money-centric, issue of a supposedly annual championship contender, NOT playing in a conference with a somewhat equal number of home/away games, instead of the "pick and choose" scheduling allowing up to 9 home games to be played as an independent. Yeah, the Entire NFL-lite be looking, Hard, at you Notre Dame! Basically it is easier to piss off and inconvenience people into accepting your... intentions...if you let the unfairness run it's course till the peoples, organizations, fans, and money brokers (Oh Wait! The money brokers are actually the ones "breaking it to fix it" according to the business plans they want in place, sorry) are screaming for the change that was wanted initially in the first place by the powers that be. In the end it will become what is wanted and needed to continue to pimp and grow the NFL-lite model envisioned. As long as OBD is competing annually in whatever iteration of NFL-lite playoffs, I be a Happy Man! Go Ducks! 🦆

Excited about this championship seeding run. Opponents and locations line up nicely. If OBD "wins it all" and brackets run pretty much chalk, not only would we avenge the IND loss (At Home, No Less!), but put Ohio St. as only the third best team in the B1G/College Football, behind only IND and OBD. B1G conference headquarters probably burning sacrifices to the Football Gods to make it so. LOL.😆
