  1. Interesting. We were successful before Will. Some would argue we were successful despite WS. I think it’s most accurate to say we didn't slip under his watch...but IMO it’s a big leap to think we were good because of him and his genius will translate to any dumpster fire program. Guess we’ll find out!
  2. What’s funny is this is the vision that the most delusional Beavis fan clings to. A handful of teams will come crawling back and they hold all the cards. I promise you Beavis, if it ever happens that UW/Cal/Stanford/etc. ever decide they want a change of scenery, you will absolutely not be calling the shots.
  3. Good read(s)! For me at least, with some distance between us and last year’s playoff, what happened last year really was not that complicated. We lost to the national champion twice. We needed to be at full strength and play well in the rematch and neither happened. Despite that last game, Dante Moore still may have been the number one pick if he had come out. Can he still improve? Of course…even he recognized it, which is the biggest key imo. We were good enough to go 11-1 in the best conference, I don’t think there’s some deep formula we missed out on. We have a stacked team and the expectation is to win it all this year, but it still takes some luck for that to actually happen.
  4. How far we’ve come! Moore was good enough to lead us to 11-1 last year with a playoff win…even if he hasn’t progressed at all, that’s a decent starting point.
  5. It’s all relative. Clearly we have one of the best rosters in football…but relative to that strength our LB and Oline units/depth is lacking proven talent and will need some dudes to step up imo. I’m pretty sure they will, but time will tell. Should be running a lot of 4-2-5 I’d think, but that does get tricky in our conference.
  6. I generally prefer 247, but I don’t think it matters all that much really. Clearly More Accurate 😆
  7. Opting out 😆
  8. Pretty spot on. As someone that had worked at their traditional rival for 10 years (Idaho) and a life long Duck fan, I know more about Boise than I should. They on average will have a recruiting class rated in the 60s overall, pretty much like any other top-10 G6, but have been great at identifying QB prospects that start early and stick with the program. Throw in the occasional hit on a great WR and HB, playing in a pretty easy conference, and then having one early season big game to get up for where the opponent overlooks them and you have their magic recipe. They’ve made this approach work with an amazing streak of coaching hires…I’m definitely bias, but it feels like the run has come to an end, maybe 😆 As they say in Moscow ID - Who do we hate? Boise State!
  9. Great to see us nailing it! 💯 some recency bias at those two schools. Can they sustain and build? I could see Tosh sticking with Cal. The other, not so much.
  10. Fun! Really tough. My first instinct was Marcus, I mean, I’m 90% confident in Dante, but Marcus actually won the Heisman and a semi-final playoff game, hard to pass on that. But we have also had a number of playoff runs (including last year and Marcus’ run) where we have run out of skill players. Given how loaded we are on D, I’d probably go with James or DAT, toss up.
  11. Wow, what a great conference/business partner Texas Tech is. Shredding relationships over some decent transfer portal QB that has zero starts for TTech. Crazy cost benefit analysis going on in Lubbock imo.
  12. Who they going to play after they sue everyone? All this for a guy that was barely a top 20 QB last year and gambles on his own team(s). This all screams of Beavis logic the last couple years.
  13. Mockable until we do the same thing next week 😉
  14. It’s fun watching the moral and ethical gymnastics currently being displayed by Beavis (mostly the fans) concerning their scheduled game with TTech this fall. Funny that a program constantly claiming morale high-ground on…uh, everything…is squaring how it’s okay to proceed full steam ahead.
  15. Thanks for the list. Barring one of these guys somehow being the next stealth MJ everyone else somehow missed on, we are not a serious basketball school at the moment imo.
  16. I mean, running Brand Strategy at tOSU is a real challenge…just do the same thing with Beavis 😆
  17. I suppose it’s all relative 😂
  18. Hilarious collection 😂 Last thing they were clinging to. Going to be really depressing for them when they regularly finish in the bottom half of the new PAC (in all sports) that most of them still think they’re going to dominate.
  19. Easy to be a tough guy for something you know will never happen
  20. Fantastic! Beavis Nation losing their collective mind.
  21. I wouldn’t call this cynical. The core of what made CFB special (to me at least) was how important the regular season was. For me, ideally, if the expanded playoff took the place of the bowl system completely, I’d be great with 24. If we have four loss teams making the playoffs, I really don’t want to regularly see teams with losing records playing any form of post-season. And that’s the problem for me, I’ll be shocked if the bowl system is reduced one iota. The more college sports professionalizes, the more I find myself asking “why am I watching the lesser pro sport at all”… and the answer is OBD. If I wasn’t an OBD fan I’d probably pivot to the highest level of pro sports completely.
  22. It’s not bad, it’s “innovative”. I believe the conference determines the last game based upon some formula that puts them at some kind of advantage for post season positioning. Roll your dice to see who you play twice. This is what you do when you can’t afford the deposit to rent a venue for a championship game 😆
  23. And you can see the future pecking order of the new PAC. Just sort by the number of appearances on over the air channels in year 1
  24. At least it’s not scheduled out for 20 years, a lot can happen by 2033…we could theoretically not be allowed to play any G6’s by 2033, or sooner.
