Ouch! Andrew Nemec’s Opinion About Oregon Men’s Hoops
It is possible that those who took lots of NIL money from Oregon recently, and didn't deliver to the market value, are spinning a narrative as damage control on the way out the door. Unnamed internal sources who corroborate the narrative sounds like thin soup to me.

Oregon: The CFP Dreamer that’s in for a Rude Awakening this Fall
At the core of his contention is the idea that our schedule is brutal. It is. I am more optimistic than he is about our chances, but 2 losses is not hard to envision.

Big Step! Oregon Athletics Announces the Opening of THE STAR at PK Park
This is so smart....the same logic needs to be applied to any future Autzen/Moshofsky work. That is to say, striving to maximize the revenue per attendee at every event. This is the wisest growth model in my opinion, as opposed to just higher capacity. The move to the B1G conference especially makes this strategy the most efficient driver of future cash flows.

Duck Football Spring Football Press Pool
On a podcast from TOS it was speculated that Crepea was moved because Coach Dan complained about his journalistic style to an editor at O-Live. No evidence was proffered, only supposition.....yet, it seems highly plausible to me.

Duck Football Spring Football Press Pool
I have been watching the YouTube version of the Duck's press conferences during Spring Football. I have been curious about the new coaching staff members and must say that I have been impressed with them to a man. What they may lack in experience in their new positions, they seem to make up for in terms of charisma, culture and connection with the athletes. I fear in-game efficiency and composure as the unit blends but am pleasantly pleased with the intellect and passion of them all. Also notable in these videos is the absence of James Crepea. Previously, Aaron Fentress struck me as the most odious of the O-Live NegaDuck Journos. But James Crepea quickly eclipsed even Fentress when he showed up. I read (I think--at my age, it's possible I dreamt this) somewhere the the AD expressed displeasure with Crepea and he was shifted to the Beaver's Beat which, if true, seems a little too "on the nose." His need to demonstrate his gridiron acumen, in the form of a press conference question, was tedious and I don't miss him.

QUAAACK: Top-50 CB Ai'King Hall Commits to Oregon, Ducks Land No. 1 Player in Alabama
- Report: Shelstad to Portal
At some level there is a logic here. Evans and Shelstad were going to require NIL increases, and yet were not enough to get to the Tourney next year. Plus, we wouldn't have had any NIL budget to speak of after paying those two with raises. And, let's be honest, neither of them are NBA draft locks at this point. Now, go all in with the full NIL budget on a handful of smart veterans who are coachable and will play with some passion and team buy-in. They probably won't make the tourney either but at least they will be more fun to root for than this year's team.- Fitting Conclusion to Men's BB
My thoughts: The Kardiak Kids for a different reason- College Sports Roundtable
The Hamburgler has a better winning percentage than the Washington Generals. According to Wikipedia: Burger did defeat Mason twice on the television series: in "The Case of the Terrified Typist" (episode 1-38), and in "The Case of the Deadly Verdict" (episode 7–4),[6]: 12369 a much-publicized episode that begins with Mason's client being sentenced to death.[7][8]- College Sports Roundtable
I am not a an attorney, but I have watched every single Perry Mason episode. Once the revenue-sharing and NIL payments emerged, I wondered how would Title IX and non-revenue sports (let's be honest, they are money-losing sports) be managed since the revenue-shares used to cover those expenses in large measure.- Which is YOUR Favorite Robert Duvall Movie?
Both good, book best.- Which is YOUR Favorite Robert Duvall Movie?
I'll cheat and say his best supporting actor role is in Godfather. As lead actor, Lonesome Dove. BTW, Tommy Lee Jones and Robert Duvall were the spot-on perfect casting for McMurtry's LD characters. I re-read the book a few years ago and it is impossible not to hear and visualize those two in your head while doing so. His best line though is in Apocalypse Now, and it isn't the one you think about napalm. It's: "Charlie don't surf!"- Dante Says NIL Wasn't a Factor in Returning
I think he is a wise man who has received wise counsel from his support group. I think he is more likely to fulfill his goals this way. Also a nice role model alternative for the NIL era- DAT is Living in Eugene, Playing Disc Golf
That article raised more questions for me.....what is the NFL drama he hints at?- Seaton to LSU
I share the sentiments of other posters that there is a silver lining here. This player has committed to Deion Sanders and Lane Kiffin after a lot of "look at me" drama. Between that and his asking price, I was worried about team chemistry and locker room culture. Given our overall talent composite score, he is a luxury that has a downside at a particular price. I think Lanning made the right price/value prop by not outbidding LSU in this case. Fox Crader....c'mon down! I think he will abetter than Harkey and World were anyway.- Michigan Hires Whittingham
