I don't remember his going for it on 4th Oregons side of the 50 over the past few games. He also kicked FG in the Neb game that kept us in striking distance. 7 turnovers in the UCLA game have me a crippling fear about ball security also. With the way this D has been playing, I would definitely go for it on 4th and 2 from my own 40 more than I would punt. Lanning punted the ball a lot v. Neb around mid field and pinned them deep in their own territory. I could be wrong but it seems that Lanning has been much more conservative the past few games.

Another teaching moment! "Several UO players arrested"? Would like to know more about that. If true, it would explain the season. Does this bring into question Lannings control of this team?

With "I have no idea", thought I was a sure winner this week.

Oregon won the 4th Q. It's clear the Ducks are fighting for their lives to get better. They aren't quiting. I have been harsh on the team and coaching staff. But I do respect them tremendously for fighting no matter what. Good on them.

It only takes one play, one missed assignment. Why not try and get the ball back? There was no reason to believe that the D couldn't get a stop. Nebraska got lucky. But I think everyone in Lannings position would try and get the ball back.

UO, UW, USC and UCLA are asked to do the same only in reverse and a lot more often. Game prep starting at 6am is equally difficult. Add travel miles and UO is at an even greater disadvantage as the season wears on and travel starts to compound. I don't think I will be feeling sorry for any B1G team around body clock and travel miles.

The O line is a real issue. Not sure why they play so poorly for huge chunks of games. It baffles me. Maybe its coaching, maybe talent, experience or offensive scheme. All of the above? A ton of money was spent to retain players on this team. How much was spent on O line. I think this coaching staff knew from the start (last January) that the guys in that position group would not be sufficient to win games. I think the donors where informed about the possible issues. They probably didn't want to spend anymore money. Can't blame them, $50 mil is a lot. Just a theory I have. O line is the second most important position group on any football team. I don't know the numbers allocated to O line talent. It just feels like the purse might have been mis-allocated. Did Lanning not go into the portal for O line because he was told there is no more money? Seems plausible to me.

I am pretty soured on the Ducks. My frustration and anger is over the top for sure. IMO, we fans were lied to, that is unacceptable. It's hard for me to keep a high level of Fandom right now. Lanning doesn't realy seem to care. His seeming disdain and contempt for local media at the pressers is frustrating. What a massive failure. And its on him as the HC. We. Can blame assistants and players all day. But this is squarely a Lanning problem imo. I hate being lied to.

Probably, but what an accomplishment. If Beavs make the PO this state would light up for sure.

I have no Idea

I doubt DR has a repeat performance. He is a significantly better QB than what we saw on Saturday. I just cant imagine he is that bad. Defense looks incredible. They were on the field a ton and just kept making plays. If the D keeps that up and DR is somewhere between USC and UCLA, oregon Runs the table. Including a win in the Shoe
