Oregon definitely has the talent to erase all memory of Stillwater by the end of November. Comes down to trench play... Shocker! Can the defensive front live up to the hype? Can the O line perform just well enough to get the running game respectable? And can the new coordinators perform at a high level given the lack of experience? Like everyone else, I don't know. Definitely has an effect on the cortisol levels leading into this USC game this today.

Well the "NW" includes Idaho, Montana and Utah. The PNW is Oregon, Washington and Northern California being they have a Pacific coast line. I know nothing about the state of Indiana, probably never will. I apologize, I didn't know "Indy" can be used in a way that is offensive. Dude was a 5* and the #1 ranked QB in his class through most of the recruiting process. He was committed to both UGA and tOSU before flipping to Neb This dude can play ball. Maybe/maybe not a better football player than Dante. People forget how talented DR actually is. Most have never seen him play. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if he becomes the first QB off the board in his draft class.

A lot of folks are quick to call the HC and starting QB a bum. Ask them who they would replace them with... crickets

That is my feeling too. There is a ton of talent on this team, including in the staff Lanning has put together. So far it hasn't looked like we as fans expect it to look. But that can turn on a dime. Just like the preseason hype, it's still to early to draw absolutes about this team and staff. Though I have some serious concerns. Penn State was way more talented last year than the record shows. Portland State, like it or hate it, might have been the blessing Oregon needed. There is a world that its Texas Tech and Penn State happens all over again in Eugene. Hopping that loss followed by the Viks is exactly how it was supposed to be and Oregon puts it together all the way to a NC victory

I wondered about the D line as the hype machine red lined leading up to the season opener. The hype was really loud surrounding this D. What kept hanging me up was redzone, 3rd downs and havoc (tfl, sacks). I thought there was potential, maybe there still is. But I never fully bought in. When you look back at the early 20's UGA D, Miami last year and others, Oregons D doesn't look the same. Hopefully they get there. I am not quite sure that so many so called experts could be wrong about talent claims made regarding Oregons front 4.

I felt a Farve/Nix vibe when DR was out there. Just a tough kid out there playing ball. With DM I get a vibe of fragility. DM comes across as psychologically fragile. I don't know how you fix that as a coach. I could be wrong, just the vibes I get

I said it earlier, Ducks beat BSU by 7 and drop 4 slots before stillwater happened. SC beats a trash Rutgers by 7 and don't drop at all. I don't get it. Seems the CFB powers are itching to penalize Oregon every year. Frustrating. Let go Ducks. Punish next and force the cfb to respond.

I think most are taking it with a huge grain of salt. Not sure what you mean by "everyone needs to slow down". Also there are still things you can see growth on regardless of opponent. We are just trying to build up some sunshine after getting beat last week.

And that's not nothing. Oregon came out angry and a little humbled. Any life PSU had with 60 left on the clock was euthanized by the time ticked down a minute.

And what about USC? #2Oregon beat unranked Boise State by a td and got dropped to 6th. SC beat a horrible Rutgers by a td. Does SC drop?
