Lanning has that rare "it" that can't be explained. I can't describe it but you know it when you see it. He is the type that people would follow through anything. I have only seen it in one other man in my life. Both of these men move mountains. Both have huge personalities. Both show love for the man next to them. Dan Lanning will become a champion because of how others respond to a leader like this. Nobody has to be asked, they just do. These two men just vibrate differently than the rest of us.

Nix has big shoes to fill being tagged BOdacious

I say put it out there. It's none of my buisness what others think. I don't have to be rhe smartest guy in the room. Two I made was the Nix trasfer would be a success and that Ducks would be in B1G by the start of 23 season. Got those two right.

Bridges, in his first year as a starter, was shaky to start the season. By the end of the season Bridges was close to being a lockdown corner. 3 int and a forced fumble. Last years DB's had Gonzalez. A true lockdown and a first round pick in the draft. There was a ton of pressure on the back end of the D. Considering there was no pass rush, they made some gains. It hard to buy into that they "lacked skill and abilities.." I think Ducks led the conference in int's last year. Would like to know where they stood with chunk plays 10yrds+.

USC is 9-3 at best. L's v. Ducks, Irish and Fusky. Possibly Utes. The honeymoon is over. Can't wait for this slobber fest to end. Ducks or Fusky will be matched for Pac title and the winner will be a one loss invite to CFP. The committee will do everything they can to include a Pac team in the playoff. It's the Pac-12 swan song season. One of us just might go out national champs.

Great article Josh. The question for me is how much do they reign in Nix in the running game? Fine line in protecting Nix and costing Nix and the Ducks an exceptional season. The use of Herbert his senior year comes to mind. My bold prediction is Ducks finish with a top 25 Defense. Securing them a Pac title, a playoff birth and a NC game appearance

SJSU should have hung 35 on Trojan. They have some dudes but if they cant stop SJSU? SJSU stoped themselves a couple times or this is Tulane 2 0 Trojan front wasnt all that impressive from the 2.5 quarters I watched.They will get better as the season progresses. But they have some defenses to face that are a ton better than SJSU. Could be a long year in tinsel town.

Oregons 24 class most likely ends up top 10. Ducks struck out on several so far but recruiting them hasn't stopped. 4 months is a long time to protect your commitments. I think there are some 5* flips on the horizon. I think Rushing will be one of them. I think they flip one from UGA also. RB Frazier would be my guess, perhaps LB Williams. Tough to peel one away from UGA though. Baker and Breland are still possible. Again, UGA will be tough to beat out. Lannings 22 class was probably the most impresive IMO. Salvaging the class was a Hulkish feat considering the state of the progr'm at that point in time. MC slithered out the back door and Lanning had two weeks to work with. Then Lanning dropped a #8 class in 23. Flipping several recruits on signing day. What an exciting time for Duck fans. Smoke'em if you got'em! Getting inside the top 10 consecutive years is what champions do. If Ducks want to win trophies it is vital they recruit top 10 classes year in, year out. Lanning has recruited above my expectations by far. Just as important, he has used the portal at an elite level. I think there has been a profound shift in the Oregon progr'm. Time will tell but I think we are at a point that Oregon has arived at "elite " as a program. I get you have to get a trophy or what I am saying is just fan boy talk. Lannings contract extension, B1G invite, recruiting competions with the elite, Bo Dacious, and on and on. Oregon has stepped up their game. You can feel it, Ducks on a mission to grab a trophy. Super excited, its a great day to be a Duck fan!

College football is B1G time. This move showes Oregon is all in in becoming a national power. It tells every football player in the country "come to Oregon and Oregon will be fully engaged in the promotion of your career ". Love it!
