  1. Butterfield looked great for SJSU. Drove it down the fiels in 2 min drill and got a touchdown pass. Well done Butters
  2. Smith is to good of a coach to coach a G5 school. The payout in the Mountain west isn't enough. Even if JS wanted to stay, Beavs wont be able to afford him.
  3. Beavus in a tight contest in San Jose. DJ doesn't look like anything special.
  4. Coaches job is to get his players in position to get better. Dan did that. When he subbed in 2nd and 3rd, he didn't change the game plan or play book. Exactly as he should have.
  5. Yep... not much more to add.
  6. College football is no longer college football. College has little to do with it anymore and it just become football. Oregon has been forced to take their brand global to quench their desire to become a true blueblood progr'm. This started over 2 decades ago. Ducks are a name brand and one of the most recognizable progr'ms in the country. The market size of the Willamette Valley has very little impact on Ducks future success. Ducks are right where the want to be and climbing. This is no accident, very much intended, very much on purpose.
  7. Watching TT v. WY. Late in the 2nd TT is up 17-10 with 156 yrd of offense. Meh, they are ok. No way TT keeps up with Ducks. Techs D is going to get throttled. Oregons O could very well end up top 3 nationally. I think Ducks D comes out and plays with some urgency. Lannings presser, he kept going back to the "standard". Numbers were outstanding but again, eyeballs dont lie. Lanning will address it. Hopefully the D brings aggression and speed next week. Get after it. Right now, what I see of TT, Ducks by 17. Game never in risk. Colorado just got interesting. Looking forward to the Buffs forsure.
  8. PSU took 20 pass plays, 37 run plays. Of those 20, several were throw aways and the rest were quick outs. They were 8 for 20 with a few very nice PBs. So the numbers are great in the defensive passing game. That leaves the eye test. To me they didn't look exceptionally fast. Also, there were some nice tackles (Bassa had some knock backs), but I didn't see the violent aggression I was looking for. Team tackling wasn't impressive. PSU is hard to grade a D against. Talent gap is just too wide. Came away wanting more but the numbers are impressive. So I don't know what this defense is yet. Guess we will find out next week. TT looks pretty decent offensively tonight. Should be a good test.
  9. Hope Buffs get ranked this week and keep it up to Duck game. 6 ranked teams in conference would be epic. Well done Deon.
  10. Dollars scors for nevada first drive. USuC D is soft
  11. PSU qb is very athletic. Doesn't surprise me at all. Concerning tho
  12. O line just bull rushed the entire psu front. Like seeing that
  13. Reed made a great play on the left boudary earlier.
  14. Franklin is just toying with Vikings secondary
