  1. A couple independent media reports on day 2. Interesting how they watch the same performance and reach different conclusions. Elite 11 Finals: Kohl, Moore Tie for Top Spot on Day 2 WWW.SI.COM Midwest quarterback prospects won the pro day-styled script competition on Wednesday. Top performers from Day 2 of 2022 Elite 11 Finals: Rickie Collins claims top spot - Scorebook Live NEWS.SCOREBOOKLIVE.COM Collins was SBLive's top rated QB from the Pro Day portion of the Elite 11.
  2. I usually don't dabble in conspiracy theories but events on the recruiting trail the past couple weeks cause me to go hmmmmm. First Portland area Riley Williams, the top tight end in the Pacific Northwest, drops early favorite Oregon and then announces he is transferring to IMG Academy in Florida with their nearly $90,000 annual tuition. Next Jayden Rashada, another Oregon target, reportedly negotiates a $9 million NIL deal with Miami super booster (and MC relative) John Ruiz. Now Seattle area 5* Jayden Wayne, a frequent Oregon visitor, checked his piggy bank, found the $90,000 IMG tuition, and announced his transfer. Predictions of a Miami commitment soon followed. We know John Ruiz was a financial kingpin of the Cristobal to Miami move. We know Mr. Ruiz "has pledged to spend at least $10 million on athletes he believes can help promote his businesses." Does that $10 million include buying high school juniors? Miami booster John Ruiz not worried about NCAA investigation - MIAMI SAVES MIAMISAVES.ORG Placeholder while article actions load The NCAA gave notice recently that penalties could be coming for universities whose boosters use

  6. Prediction: Oregon Ducks to land 5-star quarterback Dante Moore - Scorebook Live NEWS.SCOREBOOKLIVE.COM The Oregon Ducks appear poised to land a five-star quarterback in the class of 2023 after all. Despite missing out on Nico Iamaleava (Tennessee) and Jaden
  7. Remember Moore is participating in the Elite 11 finals which start tomorrow in Los Angeles. A stop in Eugene isn't that far out of his way coming from Detroit. Still the visit is a good sign.
  8. Thank you. Descriptions of the H-D mention both a dining area and a nutrition center. I assume healthy food and guidance are readily available to all athletes? The complex opened in 2013, seven years before the unnamed athlete sent her email to the AD. I believe a responsible journalist should have mentioned that piece of information in his column.
  9. Don't track athletes have access to "training tables" just like football players? The Oregon Athletic Dept staff directory lists positions such as "Sports Dietitian", "Senior Sports Dietitian", Director of Performance and Sports Science", "Director of Food Operations", plus cooks and food operations. I doubt T&F is excluded.
  10. Look at Oregon high hurdlers Jerry Tarr and Devon Allen. I'm certain the discipline to run the exact number of steps of the exact length to excel in the 120HH translates well to running a precise route as a wide receiver.
  11. Thanks. Just looked up the project details and it appears a likely candidate. Appreciate the info.
  12. Does anybody have information on the building the father of 5* Matayo Uiagalelei is referring to? Part of the new football complex?
  13. Johnson was a highly successful coach. Year old body shaming allegations would be a reason for warnings and mandated behavior modifications, not termination IMO.
  14. This guy? We would be a month late. North Carolina A&T's Duane Ross named new track and field coach at Tennessee HBCUSPORTS.COM Duane Ross, who led the North Carolina A&T track and field team to top-three finishes in the national indoor and outdoor NCAA championships, was named the
  15. In his commitment video he said he played and excelled at a wide variety of sports, track, baseball, lacrosse, etc, and only recently moved from linebacker to db. From Ronnie Lee to Justin Herbert multi-sport athletes have excelled as they focus on one sport, one position. Happy to welcome him to the flock.
  16. The rumor mill churns. Oregon visit a 'strong possibility' for 5-star QB Dante Moore - On3 WWW.ON3.COM Five-star Detroit (Mich.) King quarterback Dante Moore is considering a weekend visit to Oregon, On3's Chad Simmons has learned.
  17. It appears he found the $87,900 tuition (no scholarships per their website) to spend a year in Florida.
  18. It appears Zachary Neel, the articles author, should double check his terminology. Onterrio Smith Jr posts that it is an unofficial visit, that is, on his own dime.
  19. The transfer portal provides exposure which isn't available if a player simply decides to look for another team.
  20. The team everybody loves to hate was listed by the articles author as having both the best OL and DL. Just saying.
  21. Both Anthony Brown and Tyler Shough were among the roughly 45 counselors last year.
