  1. Maybe. Not the best hiring job?
  2. (1) Coaching (2) O line, but see (1)
  3. I just hope the highly rated OT's that are true freshmen will stick around and develop, if they can move with 360 lbs (or maybe get down to 330 for next year without losing strength) maybe the future for 2-3 more years at OT will be grand, with improved OLine coaching we'll bring in more 5* linemen and portals
  4. Nebraska wins 21-17 0 take-away turnovers 0 sacks 117 passing yards sorry...
  5. I live in Central Oregon. Roundabouts are not the issue here...
  6. Oregon sending a lot to the NFL lately, 4/5 star talent must be getting some coaching up to do that. Nobody wins the natty without a blue chip roster, recruiting is key to that. Coaching the synergy to put those talented players in a position to play as a championship caliber TEAM is the missing piece. Lanning's overall record as a HC is pretty good, we won 2 playoff games last year. Injuries late season were terrible, but...teams have figured us out and it's mostly on poor coaching. I don't know if DL is the right guy to do X and O but neither was/is Mari, Miami is on the verge now because Mari hired a great staff (and he is a superb recruiter too like DL) and Mari learned to let his staff (and coordinators primarily) scheme the wins. Mari won the locker room (remember the team petitioning for him after Taggart bailed?). Lanning is a guy who can win the locker room ("they're playing for clicks...") and be the "CEO" but a good CEO has a good team of assistants running the operations
  7. Auto correct 🤣 Mehringer maybe his O is just all fluff. Mari and Meh lol
  8. Dilly then Stein. Look what KY is doing in the SEC. QB/WR talent in theory nearly best ever at Oregon, RB pretty good too. X factor boils down to O Line. Or...Meringue. Or both.
  9. More worried about the portal departure train. Lanning has some serious decisions to make in a hurry around Dec. 1st to rebuild a staff and keep the recruiting class...as well as the existing talent, and figure out the portal needs. The biggest problem has clearly been coaching and schemes.
  10. Ducks 59-17 4 sacks 3 take aways 368 passing yards
  11. Coming out of bye weeks...was a problem for Mari too, as well as second half adjustments. That's felt like a weakness for 9 years now
  12. And if Jerry Allen retires, we get a package deal with their play-by-play guy? Lanning could change all of that culture/character I'm sure?
  13. With all our "great" DBs we have a LB on their top WR???
  14. My heart says... Oregon 45-24 Defensive line plays angry, Lanning gets over himself and his mint and attacks. Somebody fast spies Maiava and helps kill the run...Jackson or Wyatt? DB's allowed to play and soft high cover 2 stuff goes away 3 takeaways 3 sacks despite his quickness Us...338 passing yards and over 200 on the ground Quack. Riley becomes second USuC coach to be fired on the tarmac, later this season
  15. I like the Chip Kelly days he made them hand the ball deliberately and quickly to the closest official I think that's the attitude we need to get back to
  16. Oregon wins 45-38 0 take aways 1 sack 176 passing yards
  17. I suspect the '22 Georgia D (considered historic) was more Kirby than Dan. Elite LBs and the star position were crucial to run the 4-2-5, we have had talent but not that level. I always assumed Lanning was more the guy on D than Lupoi. Now with Hampton? Does DL override the OCs opinion on going for it on 4th down?
  18. Cristobal Oregon teams very predictable. Other posts have mentioned how predictable the offense and defense seem to be now. MC got top level coordinators and got out of the way. I cringe and hate to say it but MC probably wins a title at Miami before Oregon wins one. DL needs to get top flight coordinators and stop going for it on 4th and long or deep in your own territory. 5 years of that when there is time on the clock says common sense needs to trump analytics. MC has stopped making so many dumb decisions during games.
  19. We'll be out of top 25 at 2-2 after USC loss in a couple weeks. 8-4 is the ceiling for this team. Talent is there, I think it's on the coaching.
  20. 52-17 Ducks 2 take aways 3 sacks 344 py Quack
