Should the Ducks Fly With the Freakish 5-Star Athlete, Nyckoles Harbor?
"Look, I can be oblivious at times, but I am not crazy; of course you take the chance on a scholarship with Harbor..." I think you answered your own question here. Wasn't Devon Allen injured on a kick off return? The first one of the game, which took him out of it... alas!

Bad Week For The BIG10
In Bowls so far, the B1G is 4-2, the PAC12 is 3-2, and the SEC is 4-5.

Steve Sarkisian in Hot Water
Hmmmmm... He didn't Win the Day.

History Made by Bo Nix...Quite an Accomplishment
Pretty impressive. Grows confidence in DL and company's ability to assess the capabilities of the various athletes that they want to invite to Oregon.

Cheering for Huskies: I Just Can't Do It
Root for Washington to win, but to look bad doing it.

Cheering for Huskies: I Just Can't Do It
Root for what is good for Oregon. What's better for the PAC is good for Oregon.

Someone's WAYYYY Too Early Top 25
I have been figuring that in the first AP poll preseason in the summer that the PAC 12 would have 2 teams in the top 10 and maybe 3... with 5 or 6 in the top 25.

Scholarship Numbers: How Many Need to Leave?
Muddying the waters for another couple of years is the 2020 COVID extra year of eligibility. At the time it created a lot of questions, and those questions remain for at least 4 years after. If I am remember correctly (something I can never guarantee), they were talking about a temporary increase in the number of scholarships over the 85 limit. It would only count for those seniors who were playing their 5th year. For example, if there are 3 seniors who will be playing their 5th year (because of the COVID extra year of eligibility), the the 85 number would be increased to 88 for that year only. The following year, 2024, if there are 7 seniors who will be playing their 5th year, for that year only, the 85 will be increased to 92 for that year only. As I said, I do not know for sure if I am remembering correctly... but that is what I think I understood at the time. Listening to all the arguments for and against, it seems to make sense. What I am saying is that this might be a factor. Does anyone else know anything about this?????

Love Some More Justin Herbert Facts?
If he stays on his feet, the guy is definitely going to be in the hall of fame. They are already gathering his stuff.

The PAC -vs- SEC Bowl record
This is one reason why we should be rooting for the PAC. It makes a difference in the national perception.

DJ Uiagalelei Decided: Going to Oregon State
I think this is a good move for DJ. Jonathan Smith can help him. The only downside is maybe an awkward family vibe, especially during CW week. Little Brother playing for Big Brother taking down Big Brother playing for Little Brother...
-
Do YOU Want DJ Uiagalelei as a Transfer QB from Clemson?
I agree with this... However, do to my vast lack of experience and knowledge, I would prefer not to take him at this time. Since I also root for the Beavs and Jonathan Smith, I wouldn't mind him going to Cornvalley. His team would be a rival to his brother's team, but they would be close enough to visit whenever they wanted.

Jurrion Dickey Flipping?
in or out, it will not destroy my joy for all of today's signings.

Ducks Signing National Letter of Intent...Hooray!
Totally awesome class so far! I am 100% with Savagefund (above). I am especially happy with Uiagalelei and Novosad. Really relieved to have another good QB in the fold.

Austin Novosad: Duck's Plan B at Quarterback?
What I am hoping is that TT hasn't already begun to doubt himself. That seems to be what happened to Tyler Shough. Hopefully Will Stein can turn his head around and make him a leader of Oregon men.

Canzano: Bo Nix, Dante Moore, A Swirling Pac-12 Picture
...but not if there is someone better out there. If Moore is going to play for Oregon, he is going to have to learn how and when to pull the ball and run for daylight.

I Consider Bo a Duck for Life!
Now THAT is a team player. Good job Bo!

Verbitment
When we rooting for and rejoice when the Ducks flip a great player, we have to expect some of the same going in the other directions. No hard feelings no matter what happens.

HUGE Final Recruiting Weekend: Big Fish, Big Swings, BIG Closer...
This is why I think it is great that Uncle Phil will be meeting with recruits this weekend. He's not going to promise them the moon. He's going to be frank about what is reasonable and all the ways that being involved with Oregon and Nike can help them further their future.

QB Dominoes with Dante Moore, Bo Nix, D.J. Uiagalelei, & More
If TT were to announce to the portal before the Bowl game, who do we have at backup? Butters is gone. The only one left (I think) is a walk on. If Bo goes down, TT will get in the game. If he wants to leave after the game, there is still time to find another team.

Holiday Bowl: Ducks vs North Carolina--Game-Prep Article Thread (12/28/22, 5:00 PT, FOX)
One more reason to think that the Ducks have a good chance to win this game.

Transfer Portal vs. HS Recruiting
It's got to be both/and... Would a solid transfer guy be overly interested in a school that showed him no interest at all when he was in HS? We can let someone else try that experiment. (Wanna give it a try Coach Prime????)

Wouldn’t Count on Jurrion Dickey’s Commitment
Somewhat sad. Makes me wonder if a person who does this will leave as soon as a bigger paycheck is flashed somewhere else. It seems to me that greater considerations for choosing a school would be 1) how well will they prepare me for the next level, 2) does the school/team seem like a place that I can fit in well?, and 3) what does my family think of my choice? If, after these considerations Dickey decided to commit to Oregon, why not just make a card for Oregon fans? If these considerations don't put one of the schools in a clear lead, I suppose the recruit could justify this by asking, How much do the fans want me to come? Of course, this is only a one time monetary gain. I wouldn't think that it would offset a difference in 3-4 years of NIL money.

Bowl Game Question: More Important to Go For Win With Nix OR See What Ty Thompson Has to Offer?
One of Bo's greatest assets is his ability to change the play at the line of scrimmage based on what he sees in the defense. That is something that he cannot show off at the Combine.
