Oregon baseball trending up in national rankings ahead of postseasonWith the regular season in the books, the Oregon Ducks appear to be in an excellent position moving toward the postseason. The Ducks clinched the No. 3 seed in the Big Ten Tournament this week, giving them a bye until Friday night in Omaha, Nebraska. The Ducks are also moving up the national rankings. The USA TODAY coaches poll boosted Oregon three spots to No. 12. After battling hard and taking one game from UCLA on the road and taking down USC at home to round out the regular season, the Ducks have added some big wins to their resume. The Trojans slipped six spots in the coaches poll to No. 19. Elsewhere in the rankings, UCLA remains in the top spot, Oregon State stayed at No. 7, and Nebraska jumped up to No. 18. Oregon has wins over each of them. In D1Baseball's poll, which is commonly used by teams as the official rankings, Oregon jumped up two spots to No. 14. The Ducks will get a bye for the first two rounds of the Big Ten Tournament, thanks to their strong finish to the regular season.
