When pay a 20 year old 5 million and others big bucks, is it possible their mind is occupied by more than just football. And still go through the motion?

Ive often wondered that myself.

350 yards OSU. 61 Oregon

Against one of the more crappy teams in the nation.

But hey, it was fun to drink the kool-aid once again.

Well, I would not have thought our special teams would our best unit this year, but man the kicking is just lights out.

So... you're sayin' that we've got that going for us!

Maybe OK St will get a bit unlucky in the 2nd half?

No.

Let's see if our DC can adjust at halftime. Our scheme coming into the game was to take away all of the plays to the flats, but OSU has been going mostly north and south today and they are killing us with it.

Guys. If we are real with ourselves, last year's offense did not do well against tough defenses. It scored less than 21 ppg against five different teams. Iowa, Wisconsin, Penn State in regulation, Indiana, and arguably Texas Tech (we got a HUGE gimmie from the defense on one of our TDs).

With a very inexperienced OL, is that really a championship caliber team? No shade to whomever said it-we are not looking like, performing like or even transferring talent from last year like a championship caliber team looks like. Not on the scoreboard, not in film study, no doubt right this very moment.

It is apparent to me, this offense will need Dante Moore to play like an NFL QB that has no time. Our OC has to draw up plays that deal with that reality. Oklahoma State is playing a Cover 9-which is taking the routes OUR COACHES LOVE TO RUN away from us. It may explain the short passes. I don't know yet because I cannot see the coverages on every play. But it is clear teams are taking the explosive nature of the WRs away-which means the seams will be open sometimes, but in the very least, checkdowns and quicker short routes that exploit quick windows is going to be the norm for this offense.

OBD are not running the ball well, and that is killing their ability to get the ball downfield. Second and Long plays will require burst passes to seams or out routes very quickly. This is no longer a team that will be able to rely on the speed advantage OBD has, because teams are taking away that advantage with coverages designed to take that advantage away.

I am expressing this from a highlight displayed during the halftime highlights. It is the same thing Ohio State did in the Rose Bowl. Teams are not going to let our WRs kill them. It is not going to happen. Everybody-coaches and fans-better get used to it.

As far as our defense is concerned? It's time to throw the BEAR DEFENSE IN THE TRASH. It is time to put five guys on the LOS and get the LBs to find receivers instead of looking at the QB. That isn't exclusively an Oregon problem-that is a football problem.

My opinion of course.

Tonight I will diagram all of this. I have enough "evidence" now to show it. I took today off specifically to determine what is happening to OBD. I have the material and I am going to show it.

All the excuses we can come up with, heat/humidity/distance/time,breakfast etc don t change this Pathetic performance of our offense and our defense saved by two interceptions...

I have been watching Oregon now for 56 years as a Duck fan and college football longer... I could have never expected this performance out of an Oregon team this highly rated.... We are not playing Indiana, nor Ohio St.... Ok St lost to Tulsa last wee!! I hope we win... and I expect too (sorta). But any ranking in the top 25 will be generous.

We'll be out of top 25 at 2-2 after USC loss in a couple weeks. 8-4 is the ceiling for this team. Talent is there, I think it's on the coaching.

Ducks will beat USC

No.

Well the defense has been good in the red zone today for once.

No.

Half time adjustment, what is that?

No.

We know 1 thing, The Ducks are NOT a heat and humidity team.
