16 hours ago16 hr Administrator No. Which is more surprising to you....that we won, or that our offense is so bad? Mr. OBD
16 hours ago16 hr No. I am amazed, speechless, and asked myself that same question, Charles. I think though up reflection, the offense.
16 hours ago16 hr No. That the offense was so bad. Seventeen Points. Thought we would lose. But I won my bet...Never again
16 hours ago16 hr No. Charles, the most surprising thing to me was that DL left Brock in for 3 quarters. Huh?!How can we be surprised about the crappy offense? We have seen it before. We have won before. For me, that was the most boring game I've ever watched beginning to end ... AND with the most exciting finish.
16 hours ago16 hr No. Limited to those two: that our offense is bad. What actually surprises me is that our offense seemed limited for three quarters two games in a row, and then improved.
16 hours ago16 hr No. Easy - That the offense is so bad. But as Raiola said “we preserved in the end”. 🤣A couple of things:1) I can’t believe Lanning waited that long to make the switch, but I guess it worked. 2) The defense is really, really good.
16 hours ago16 hr No. The offense was good on the final drive - that is what is startling to me. The same guys (with exception of QB) who were terrible all game, all of a sudden, learned how to play football. By the way, when a QB came in who was a threat to go deep, the O line could block. Probably because 5 didn't have to block all 11. What surprises me in a bad way is how bad Thomas was today and how bad Raiola was vs UCLA. What are they doing in practice all week that they can't get ready for Saturday? And I am surprised in a good way how good the defense has gotten since the first two games.

I’m sure Dan will explain it, but I was shocked when he trotted out there.

16 hours ago16 hr No. It's startling to me that DR was not given the entire first half to see how he could rebound from UCLA. Then it was startling to see the offensive plan was to play not to lose. Then it was startling to me to see BT not get benched to start the 3rd quarter. It's very startling that we won a game by only playing 1 quarter of intentional offense. But man I enjoyed the cage our D made for that squirrelly QB.
16 hours ago16 hr No. Offense. It’s offensive. LolOregon football for decades had me believing we would get a touchdown on every drive yet today I doubted that we could even get a first down. Still predictable play calling, O—line issues, receivers can’t get open two games in a row. At what point does Drew really need to be stepped aside. And what is with Guys not knowing rules on special teams…coaching errors everywhere. Edited 16 hours ago16 hr by AllOregon

10 hours ago10 hr No. I believe in Lannings process so far. Clearly the defense has done s 180 as he promised. Its hard to really fix the offense without the main piece which is Dante.. Brock has heart, but he is an emergency QB, not a starter. I was scared we were gonna blow that defensive effort we gave. One game at a time
9 hours ago9 hr No. I believe in Lanning’s process… mostly. First, I have not the remotest idea of why he kept Thomas in the game for three quarters. What on earth was he thinking? He and we are extremely lucky that the Ducks pulled this one out of the fire. The defense was as good as the offense was bad. Is that Lanning’s defensive genius on display? Maybe so. I am a believer that Lanning is one of the nation’s best head coaches. But he’s also young and has made some glaring mistakes. His OC is no better than most in that position at any group of 6 school. He’s worse than many. Oregon has the money and cachet to hire a top notch experienced coordinator. Someone who loves coaching offense and isn’t as driven to move on to head coaching opportunities. Losing our last two offensive coordinators in very short order definitely caused problems. Promoting someone from within made it worse in my opinion. I’m a Lanning believer but keeping Raiola on the bench for so long is troublesome to say the least. The leash on Thomas was far too long. Just my thoughts.
7 hours ago7 hr No. TWO first downs in the first half?? Coach ... "Hey, let's give BT one more quarter of torture."

6 hours ago6 hr No. The defense is Chris Hampton on display. As bad as the OC promotion was. The DC promotion was good.
4 hours ago4 hr No. 5 hours ago, Lrod said:Its hard to really fix the offense without the main piece which is Dante..I respectfully disagree. Of course Oregon’s offense would be better off with Dante but if we had a good offensive line or coaching, we would have found a way to win the past 2 games by a more comfortable margin, even if we had to rely on the run game/creative scheme and defense.I am concerned about Dante’s health against Ohio State and Michigan, given this offensive line. 4 hours ago4 hr No. Can we all at least agree we have 3 major problems that have to be fixed?OCOL Position CoachQB Position CoachAll three of those areas are showing regression on mental toughness and execution in the field. We can't blame players who are regressing, that's always on the coaching staff. It's not like Dan Lanning is incapable of motivating people; they just aren't getting the one on one guidance to improve and succeed. Edited 4 hours ago4 hr by Solar

1 hour ago1 hr No. The offense... and it's not even close. It's so atrocious that I don't even know where to begin. It's seriously so horrendous, on multiple levels that it's hard to know where to start. But one of the most amazing things I keep thinking about is Lanning calling those timeouts at the end of the second quarter, when we had 50 yards total offense and 0 points. What was the plan... to get ourselves pinned deep in our own territory off of a Nebraska punt, and suddenly, with the half winding down, Brock, who couldn't/hadn't hit the side of a barn, was miraculously going come out throwing like Bo Nix and take us 70 yards downfield for a TD?And obviously, leaving Brock in for 3 quarters is a mystery of mysteries. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.
