  2. 14-17 in overtime in 2012 to Stanford at Autzen. Stanford had possession a bit over 37 minutes of the 60. UCLA had it 39:15. But, Oregon racked up yards against Stanford, just couldn't score. In the game today, there were no yards until late. The last time before that was 0-16 at UCLA in 2007.
  3. I was there too, and dd that it was wet and cold.
  4. The only time I think Oregon will be hyped and competitive is when playing in Socal or against Ohio State. The rest of the time we have front runner vibes and don't seem to collectively care against "lesser" opponents. I wonder how many yards The Manhunter will run for next week?
  5. I have a strange feeling that this team will be up and down for the rest of the season. I would not be surprised if Dante came back and beat Ohio St. I would also not be surprised if they lost more games to unranked opponents. I suspect Lanning lost the group with his offseason decisions, including coaching hires/promotions and lack of portal moves on the O line. He probably over-estimated how ready his team was to compete for a championship this year. I was shocked to see how much accuracy DR lost in two weeks.
  6. UO is more than a single coach or team, we will be fine in the long term. With the expanded playoff we've all but missed the window win a natty with any reasonable certainty even if we do have a national caliber team. We just need to be grateful as fans when we play well. To think we almost won the game today with an absolute dumpster fire performance of the offense is amazing.
  7. Brock gets NIL money. Everyone on the roster does.
  8. Yeah. I think the hype before the season was really overblown. I predicted 9-3. Rebuilding the OL and breaking in two new coordinators is going to have its challenges.
  9. Going for two after the gimmie TD lost the game. Couldve gone to OT and the Ducks had so mojo at the end.
  10. The same media that started the hype train are the same media that needs to eat crow.
  11. Some days it is easier to love our Ducks than others…
  12. Today

  13. I called it before the season started: this Oregon team would end up being the Penn State of 2026. I'm personally always skeptical of any Duck team going into each season, but this one had the potential to be truly disastrous given how overblown the hype surrounding this team in the offseason was. The end of this year is (hopefully) going to result in some real soul searching for Lanning on his coaching hires and in-game decision making. If not, then it'll only be a matter of time before he's the one on the chopping block, and I'd hate to see that happen to a coach who seems to have genuinely embraced this team and this place.
  14. In other words, just be polite? I read Miss Manners' book many years ago, and that made it easy for me to comment and still be polite. On a long-gone sports message board another poster said he was impressed how I could verbally body-slam someone, and still be polite. Of course, I was talking about other teams, not the Ducks, so that helped. 😉
  15. Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.
  16. I have to take a hard look at the entire picture before I make definitive judgements on the coaching staff. There are mountains of evidence to pour over. But I am sure the team's confidence is shattered. I do know this: same as it ever was is a recipe for disaster. I'd rather see a 1890s scheme than what we have seen the past three years. But that's just me. We have to let nature take it's course while Lanning decides what he is going to do.
  17. Did Lanning take an IV after the game?
  18. At least Texas lost to an UNRANKED opponent -__it happens.
  19. Or Will Stein. Could mot agree more.
  20. I REMEMBER THE TOILET BOWL!
  21. Message Board meltdowns are both frustrating and understandable. We all need to know our limits. I tell myself it’s better to wait if I think I might cross lines. There’s a significant amount of self-talk on a day like today. But brother, it ain’t easy.
  22. He beer get back on the field and earn his 5 million and a shot at the pros's.
  23. Writing negative is FINE. Just not the same thing twenty times is all. Discussion of player performance and coaching decisions that is negative is FINE. I swear....people don't know the difference. What do I do? Allow anything? Then you have things go to pot in a hurry. Yet if I try to take the worst over-the-top away....people become scared to write a post at all. This is not hard; how do I convey it?
  24. Hey, anyone want a good deal on a brand new Duck jersey? I'll never wear it again.
  25. You are correct. All I was saying was that Chesney isn't the great guru. We don't need to swap coaches. But yeah, something major needs to happen for the offense and I'm finally convinced that maybe it's the OC. I mean, the defense is the reason we had any chance at all.
  26. It's a shock to watch a complete collapse of a team that looks strangely similar to Penn State's last year. I can't figure out how Lanning lost this group, but he has. He has looked worried most of this year. And it would have been a very eerie version of the Ducks versus Them documentary/propaganda piece this time had OBD won the game. I'll support this team until my cold dead hands lose their grip in death.
  27. Don't worry Log H. I am sure you're echoeing many thoughts and feelings. We have to adjust our expectations...lots
