Oregon vs UCLA is one of the biggest Big Ten football games of the week as Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks host Nico Iamaleava and undefeated UCLA in a Top-25 showdown at Autzen Stadium. George Wrighster breaks down the five things that will decide Oregon vs UCLA, starting with the Bruins' dominant rushing attack. Bob Chesney has transformed UCLA into one of college football's most dangerous running teams, and Nico Iamaleava looks much more comfortable with a ground game that doesn't force him to carry the entire offense. For Oregon, everything begins with stopping the run and figuring out who will lead the offense. Dante Moore is working his way back after suffering a concussion against USC, while Dylan Raiola showed why he was once considered one of the best quarterback prospects in the country when he stepped in for the Ducks. Turnovers could decide everything. UCLA has built its undefeated start around creating extra possessions, while Oregon's quarterbacks have protected the football. George also explains why the Ducks need to pressure and hit Nico, how Dan Lanning's history with Bob Chesney matters, and why Oregon's third-down offense could become the deciding factor. Can undefeated UCLA prove it belongs in the College Football Playoff conversation? Can Oregon keep rolling after beating USC? And will Dante Moore or Dylan Raiola be behind center for the Ducks? 00:00 Oregon vs UCLA Preview 01:31 Dan Lanning After the Bye Week 01:49 Dante Moore, Dylan Raiola & Nico Iamaleava 02:53 Key #1: Stop UCLA's Run Game 06:04 Key #2: Win the Turnover Battle 07:55 Key #3: Oregon Has to Hit Nico 09:15 Key #4: Dan Lanning vs Bob Chesney 12:16 Key #5: Oregon Must Win Third Down 15:01 Who Wins Oregon vs UCLA? 15:28 Oregon vs UCLA Odds 15:54 George's Oregon vs UCLA Prediction

I can’t remember if it was a podcast or watching a game but it was reported that B1G has a pretty stringent policy for reporting injuries so that coaches/schools can’t “head fake” on injuries

Dana Altman Retires, & Tony Stubblefield Takes Over...
from the CBS story link: "By elevating Stubblefield to interim head coach status, Oregon's players cannot enter the transfer portal for 31 days -- not until Nov. 7. This rule was put in place to give the interim coach the time and opportunity to retain players." My add...if Stubblefield had been immediately named permanent head coach, the 15-day portal start would have been accelerated to 5 days after the announcement....i.e. 5 days from Oct. 7. It would have started Oct. 12 instead of Nov. 7. The interim tag gives the program more time to communicate with players about staying, though I suppose it also gives more competitor programs time to talk quietly with agents until the portal starts.

Marsh Duck - Final Thoughts Before Oregon v UCLA
I was going to write about safety play and offensive line play... but frankly I feel like I have written about the offensive line every week! And I did already this week on Monday and I wrote about the safeties too! So trying not to sound like a complete broken record with every article I left those two out. I do agree with everyone who has mentioned safety and offensive line that they are two positions that we must watch this weekend as well! Thank you all for reading and subscribing. I'm at 69 subscribers so far and I knew this was going to be one of those grow slow things but my readership is averaging higher than ever and the subs are growing with every article. Thank you all for helping grow this and I do love the discussions here!
