As was pointed out after Saturday’s game. The OL struggles, the QB issues, the OC problems, the assistant questions, it starts with DL, but with all of that we have lost two games by a combined 10 points to two very good teams despite all of the struggles. So yes, this may be DL’s best coaching job yet. We are still in the hunt. Go Ducks!

All depends on the defense. No matter who starts at QB we have to control the ball. We can’t get into a shoot out. We don’t have the offensive coaching talent to out scheme anyone. Don’t turn the ball over and hold Nebraska to under 20 points and we can win. The Ducks need to win 8 games plus a bowl to build momentum for next year. The CFP is gone. This is not the same team as in previous years. Maybe they start Akili, no tape on him could work to our advantage. Style points don’t matter, winning does. Forget comparisons to other Duck teams they don’t apply. Lanning screwed the pooch with his assistant hires. He will lose players to the portal, pick up a few. But there is talent enough to have a very good year next year. Our non-conference schedule is easy. I picked us to win tomorrow in a grinder game.

Sure….Matt Rhule has a habit of stepping on himself in games like this one. Nebraska should win…he usually tanks these types of games. Feel better? Did not think so.

As an assistant at Georgia and now as HC at Oregon Lanning has never known football failure. We all fail at one time or another. Dan now has to deal with professional adversity. Lord knows at home he has dealt with more than most. Let’s see how he deals with things. Another quick note. Chesney takes the easy three in the first quarter. Dan gambles and goes for two and fails, make us have to go for two again. Instead of 14 it’s 12. What was UCLA’s margin of victory?

7.5 is the QB NIL money. Lanning is making 10 or 11 mil. He is not going anywhere. He has plenty of mentors to help figure this out including Nick Saban.

As I said following the Ok. State game we are trending down. We have not played a complete game accept for USC. 2nd half vs JMU. Don’t care about who was on the field. Offense vs Texas Tech Indiana: Nuff Said BSU, Ok. State, now UCLA. 6 out of the last 7 we have had issues. This starts with Lanning. Because it is the Ducks, the flash, DL’s persona you had better win because people want to see him fail. If he does not stop the bleeding his career takes a hit. I know bad football, been a Bruin fan up until 5 years ago, we are heading there if he does not make changes and good ones. Don’t shoot the messenger.

Mike Norvell…he will be gone from FSU. He and Lanning go way back. Lanning has always thanked him for his first full time gig at Memphis.

I am a what’s next fan. Can we win 8 or 9 games? Not without Donte. What will a nothing bowl game look like. How many leave the program for playing time, who and how many get poached by other schools. This was not just an ugly loss, it was a blow to the program. We are hated because of our flash. You may laugh but other teams doing shout in our house as an in your face, do something about it, and we don’t? Our bowl game roster will be completely different if we make a bowl game. I don’t know if Dan knows how to fix this. But now I am an observant fan but that is it. likely Nebraska wins next week, no line and a rusty Donte. No pretty. Interesting time.

These guys are being paid big bucks, I have seen the NIL list of payments, and we pay thousands to go. These are not kids, they know all about money. These players, these coaches need to get off their collective rear-ends and step up or get rid of them. 5 games played and they stunk it up in three of them.
