  1. If you want to see the Eugene Regional Bracket and Game-times, you can click here and see them. And here it is on GoDucks.com as well with proposed game-times. (Scroll down to bottom) Pack PK Park!
  2. Holy Crap! And I thought nobody would ever tune into the Apple Streaming proposed for the old Pac-12.... If Beavis makes a sound in the forest...does anyone hear him?
  3. I have it, but it does not work well, and is incredibly hard to navigate and find what you want. When I was using it many, many months on occasion--I found what I needed only by accident. I ignore it now; I go to the GoDucks.com on my desktop, that's it.
  4. Coach Waz explained in an interview after the Bracket show that this will become the norm. It did not happen before, because we were all in the same conference. But now that Wazzu is in the Pac-12, while Beavis is independent for this year, but in the Pac-12 later, and we're in the Big-10...this kind of thing will be more frequent in subsequent years. I agree with you...
  5. One surprise--we have to sign in again. Remember not Sign Up, but if you are a member you SIGN IN. And if you forgot your password...look hard and then email me at my new email address of charlesfobd@gmail.com and I'll get you going again. Another surprise: When I used my favorites to come to the old address...it automatically pulled up the forum and the URL says, discussobd.com thus I think for now we have redirecting going on. That is when you are automatically moved to the new web address without putting in the URL in the upper left. But when the new owner of FishDuck.com begins to make changes with that domain....I believe the redirecting will end, and you will need to input discussobd.com in the upper left web address area, (URL) and your computer/phone will come to the forum and you will need to SAVE IT. My phone number has not changed; 541-915-4541 if you are in a jam and want to call or text. We have more surprises I'm sure to discover, and we will be making some visual changes to remove all reference to FishDuck.com in any way to satisfy the new owner. So Happy to See You All!
  6. In other Big-10 News...Nebraska's seed dropped from a projected No. 12, to a No. 13 Seed, and I think they have an 8-0 loss to Our Beloved Ducks to thank for that. They did draw a tough No. 2 Regional Seed in Ole Miss, who was projected to be a No. 15 or No. 16 National Seed. But nobody will have as big as home crowd as "the Big-Red" will in Omaha as host... USC was hoping to host, but they are a No. 2 Seed in the College Station Regional, and they could upset Texas A&M--IMHO. Trojans are a good team... The B1G was hoping get Michigan and Purdue in the tournament, but they were left out. Time to Pack PK Park!
  7. Oregon is now ranked the highest they have been all season at No. 11 in the nation, and given a better seed than what we were looking at a few days ago at No. 15 or No. 16. We have the Yale Bulldogs coming to PK Park, and we have a NW Pac-12 renewal regional with Oregon State and Washington State (Beavis and Butthead!) joining us. The humiliation for the Beavers is palpable, but they could spoil our party if they prevailed. Better buy your tickets quick before an Orange Crush fills the stands! UCLA remains as the national No. 1 Seed, and if/when Oregon wins their regional--they would travel to Austin to play the Longhorns in a Super-Regional as they are the No. 6 Seed. They do have UC Santa Barbara in that regional, so if the Gauchos could upset the 'Horns, (they could) and Oregon wins...we could host a Super in Eugene? The Ducks might have some objections to those plans...
  8. See the bottom of this thread starting with the No. 3 post for updated news as of Monday morning. We just have the host locations, no seeding or brackets until Monday morning 9:00 AM on the rollout show on ESPN2. Check out who the hosts are right here, and we'll learn the rest tomorrow. Our Beloved Ducks are hosting! Will Oregon State be in our Regional?
  9. No. 1 Bruins slip by No. 14 Oregon 3-2 on a microscopic hit-by-pitch with bases loaded and two outs...in eleven innings.
  10. 2-2 after ten innings. Oregon gets a base runner, but not timely hits after that...yet. Devin Bell comes in the stop the Bruins, but got assisted by another sweet double-play!
  11. 2-2 after nine innings. Bruins got a hit off Tanner Bradley to tie it up... On to extra innngs!
  12. 2-1 Ducks after eight innings. Nothing on offense as the Bruins have superb relief pitching this time. Tanner Bradley came in and put them down with the help of a double-play!
  13. 2-1 Ducks after seven innings. Collin Clarke got it done again for another scoreless inning! Keep in mind that UCLA has won every game in this tournament coming from behind, and has an incredible record doing so. In the LA series...the Ducks had a 6-1 lead that was lost by our relievers... Let's go Ducks!
  14. 2-1 Ducks after six innings. How about BACK-TO-BACK-JACKS? UCLA brought in a reliever, Justin Lee, who had a very low ERA of 2.45 and I remember him shutting us down in our series in LA a few weeks ago. But Burke-Lee Mabeus took the second pitch and sent it into the RF stands! But wait....Naulivou Lauaki does the same thing to LF! Whew! Collin Clarke comes in to relieve Gosztola, and gives up a triple, but strands him!
  15. 1-0 Bruins after five innings. Oregon is so close...but this time stranded bases-loaded. Aaaarg! Miles Gosztola got a 1-2-3 inning...
  16. 1-0 UCLA after four innings. Oregon is getting on base, but not finishing...as yet. Miles Gosztola gave up a run off of a great hit--it happens. The star center fielder the Bruins--Gasperino--was ejected for malicious contact. He body-slammed Drew Smith on a pickle at 3rd base, and threw an elbow as well. He has 19 HRs, so it could be an impact...
  17. 0-0 after three innings. Oregon is close, but not getting the timely hit yet. Stranded another in scoring position... Miles Gosztola is throwing 94 mph heat that generates easy innings for the fielders--again.
  18. 0-0 after two innings. On offense, Oregon stranded a runner in scoring position, but we face a loaded pitching stable. Everyone is good, and we need an equal pitching effort to stay in contact. As a result, we are seeing more "small-ball" plays because hitting homers might be more difficult today. The Duck's Miles Gosztola had a shaky start to the inning with a plinked batter and a walk, but the defense backed him up with what the Sportscasters stated as, "The Best Defensive Play of the Tournament." Then Miles struck out the final out...
  19. 0-0 after one inning. Nothing on offense, and Oregon pitcher Miles Gosztola was robbed when they erroneously credited a base hit to the Bruins, but it did not matter as Gosztola disposed of the rest.
  20. I have written about this so many times, and I just don't think a number of people are going to understand until it happens, they come to the new address, and see that...."Oh, the forum looks the same! Charles is still here as before...nothing has changed except the web address going from forum.fishduck.com to discussobd.com and that is it!" Yep. The forum will look as it does now, it is like we are moving a comfortable house to a new location. We will still reside in the house, but just in a new address. I have NOT sold the forum, thus I will, as an old saying goes...."darken your door" via this forum for a long time. Once the move happens I will explain more, but for now--take down the new web address, my new email address and my phone number to be on the safe side. And my thanks to you, and all for your patience with this. Charles
  21. I know what the system currently does, and what the usual arguments in favor for it are. I am simply giving my opinion that none of the conferences in any sports should be doing it, as it cheapens the value of the regular season. And no...a hot team for three games should not be placed higher or even equal value in performance to a team that played 30 conference games, as they do in basketball and baseball. But what do I know?
  22. We have not made the change yet. So when you now put in discussobd.com you will be automatically redirected to this original web address. When we make the change on Sunday--the new address will work.
  23. OREGON ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | SATURDAY, MAY 23, 2026 BASEBALL | @OregonBaseball Rinse and Repeat, Ducks Power and Pitch their Way Into Championship Game OMAHA, Neb. — No. 14 Oregon used the same formula to advance to Sunday’s Big Ten Tournament Championship game against No. 1 UCLA that it used earlier in the day to beat Washington. The Ducks’ belted three home runs while getting stellar pitching from three pitchers in an 8-0 win over No. 20 Nebraska on Saturday night at Charles Schwab Field in front of 12,083 mostly Huskers fans. Oregon starter Will Sanford (8-2) followed teammate Cal Scolari’s dominant performance against Washington with maybe a more dominant outing. The Ducks’ right-hander allowed just two hits over 6.0 innings of work while fanning nine. Will Sanford Sanford retired the first 10 batters he faced, seven on strikeouts before allowing back-to-back walks in the top of the fourth. The Ducks’ sophomore responded, getting the next two batters including a strikeout to end the threat. In the fifth Sanford escaped a runners at the corners with one out situation, getting a pop out on a bunt attempt and a weak ground ball to end the inning. In the sixth, Oregon turned a line drive into a double play after the leadoff batter doubled on a soft seeing-eye hit inside the first-base bag. Sanford wrapped up his night fanning the final hitter he faced. Tanner Bradley came out of the bullpen to toss two scoreless innings with three strikeouts. Luke Morgan got the final three outs of the game. How It Happened: Oregon (40-15) drew first blood scoring a run in the top of the first. Ryan Cooney led off the game with a two-bagger before moving to third on an Angel Laya ground out. Drew Smith picked up the RBI with a ground out giving UO a 1-0 lead. The Ducks built the lead to 3-0 with a couple of solo home runs. Maddox Molony hit one into the left-field bullpen in the fourth and Laya followed with one into the right-field bullpen in the fifth. Angel Laya hits his Home Run Oregon broke the game open scoring four runs against Nebraska (42-15) in the seventh inning. Cooney reached on a fielder’s choice and moved to second on a Laya walk, where the freshman worked a nine-pitch at-bat that included three foul balls with two strikes. After the walk, Smith ripped a two-run triple into the right-center field gap scoring Cooney and Laya. Freshman Brayden Jaksa made it a four-run inning when he belted his second homer of the day, with the first coming vs. UW in the morning game. The Ducks tacked on a run in the ninth when Elijah Cook scored on a Smith sacrifice fly. Box Score Notes: Cooney’s leadoff double moved him into sole possession of seventh on Oregon’s single-season doubles list with 19 … Naulivou Lauaki Jr. lined a ball of the fence in the second inning with an exit velocity of 118 miles per hour … Oregon’s hardest hit ball coming into the game was 115 miles per hour … Will Sanford recorded his 100th strikeout of the season in the second inning, becoming just the sixth Duck to have a 100-strikeout season … He joined David Peterson (2017), Tyler Anderson (2011, 2010), Ryne Nelson (2019) and Grayson Grinsell (2025) … Sanford ended the game with 105 career Ks, which ties Anderson (2010) for the third most in school history. Up next: Oregon will face UCLA in the championship game at 12 p.m. (PT) on Sunday (Big Ten Network) at Charles Schwab Field.
