  1. Knock out Ohio State and two SEC teams? Yeah-BABY!
  2. That is a damn good article Scott...a great blend of new information, their story, and quotes to pull it all together. THANK YOU.
  3. The new rule of five years of total eligibility sure changes a ton, but it also could help develop depth beyond what we had before. So many times a player was not played for even a play in a fifth game to preserve the redshirt, and now--it doesn't matter. You have five years total, and they can play you just a few plays per game the entire season, and nothing is changed with your eligibility. This means coaches can slip true freshmen into occasional plays more often and let them experience game-speed, which will help their development and give the coaches more film to evaluate talent, and to help teach. We could see a ton more short-stints by true freshmen this year as a result of this new rule, and forgot how it pleases us fans as well to see them in games!
  4. Perfect. Respected, but still an underdog. May these rankings remain until we meet in Columbus!
  5. While my observation makes us uncomfortable, it may very well apply. When Washington was beating us year after year for decades, we looked at them as a rival, but they did not regard us as such. Only now do both sides view each other with intense rivalry. USC fans are viewing Oregon the same way that Oregon viewed Washington during those frustrating years; they look up to us as a rival, we did not view them as a West Coast rival until they start beating us on a regular basis. But their fans and their coaches sure make it fun to beat them!
  6. Great article David, and I am not sure I agree with your conclusion about the OC/DCs going anywhere at the end of the season. If our offense does what I believe it WILL do, then Mehringer could get a serious look IF…we win a ‘Natty. After all…he was an OC twice before, and if this third time is a big winner…what more does he need? Kinda interesting that Tosh can now be in his optimal position; not running a defense, but recruiting, which is his wheelhouse.
  7. Glad to see you will be at Oregon Football’s Media day Tuesday interviewing the players. You have SO much more experience and skills than the vast majority of other media attending. I personally look forward to your articles!
  8. Right. The on-campus media day is open to all the media, and the players are there for interviews before the season starts. Held in the Hatfield-Dowling, and lunch is fed to players and media. A dozen years ago I interviewed Devon Allen at that event...
  9. Super! I was wondering where you went, as we enjoy Big-10 fans, and you have been super with your posts. We had a Nebraska fan sign up the other day, and I hope he gets involved soon... BTW...I just saw that Oregon Baseball will play AT Indiana this spring!
