Marsh Duck - Oregon's Back-up Quarterback Situation Might be the Best in a Decade
The photo that shows the size difference between DM and ASJ is crazy. Would love to see ASJ get some reps this year and see if he has the “it factor”.

Oregon's Rivals Recruiting Rating....Undervalued?
The 247 composite has us at #3. It is an average of 247, Rivals, and ESPN…better than 4.

Oregon's Rivals Recruiting Rating....Undervalued?
It would be interesting to see the book of prospects that Oregon already has on the radar for the next few years. We all know that the effort needed to keep that “prospecting wheel” turning is a top priority. It would be interesting to see the database that they use. It would be football geek nirvana.

Marsh Duck - Three Causes of Concern for Oregon's 2026 Season
Biggest concern is walking back to the car at the Coliseum.

Marsh Duck - Should Oregon Move Away from Runningback by Committee?
Thunder, lightning, and clean up, is what I see happening. On average, the Ducks will run the ball around 30 times/game. A “feature back” with this running back room is averaging 12 to 15 carries. I like the idea of having a feature back, but you have to keep an eye on the run of games we have late in the season, and limit the wear and tear. We know what we have in Davison, and Hill. I am curious to see who steps into the reliable clean up role.

Quack Quack! Oregon Ducks Land Commitment from 4-Star CB Hayden Stepp
Same thing with Kentucky on some top level talent. I think our recruiting coordinators help identify young talent, and it is partial.y due to the fact both coaches have had contact with the athletes for a few years.

Holy Crap! Never Have I Witnessed This in an Oregon Defense....NEVER
Not raining on my parade, but it can be your own perspective. Nobody can change the past, but we all can have goals and dreams. To achieve any difficult goal takes the courage to risk failure. Failing to achieve a goal does not define who you are, it identifies you as an individual, or team, that had the talent to compete at the highest levels. I admire all the athletes at Oregon that have that talent, win or lose.

Fun Facts: Oregon is No. 1 in Recruiting, INSANE Ratings for Oregon's Defensive Line, & Poor USC?
I would add Haloti Ngata. The guy was a beast, and nobody can handle him one on one. He is the guy that makes so many other players look good, including our DC. Might as well stack the deck, and leave no doubt who has the #1 defense.

QUAAAKKK! Huge Rivals 3-Star OL Lex Mailangi is a DUCK!
I don’t know that I have read many of your articles. However, your writing style is engaging, and I will make it a point to check in on your website as we move forward.

Tasty Tidbits: Matayo Momentum, Recruiting, and a Billboard in Tokyo?
The fact that he returns with Tuioti, Washington, and Alexander still blows my mind. Our most complete starting DL ever is on a mission this upcoming season. Can’t wait to see how far they can elevate their level of play.

The US Open - Oregon Man, Wyndham Clark, WINS!
In this case, knowing he was a Duck for one year doesn’t mean I fully root for him. Was not overly impressed with Wyndham Clark’s emotional destruction of private property when he missed the cut at Oakmont. He seems to have made amends, but his overall persona is not endearing to many golf fans. Empty seats were noticeable to the press when he finished yesterday’s round, and they questioned him on it. His play is world class so far this week. If he wins, good for him. But, I bet there are a lot more fans rooting for Scotty Scheffler to catch him, in order to complete his career slam.

Can The USA Win The World Cup?
Can team USA win the World Cup? Absolutely. Why haven’t we won? Just look at the size of our high school, and college football stadiums. We have the athletes, many are focusing on other sports. The US having success in FIFA will definitely steer more athletes over to the sport. It is just a matter of time before a World Cup is won by team USA.

Nostalgic Look at “Every TD DeAnthony Thomas Scored at Oregon"
- Marsh Duck - CFB Gambling Problem is Only Just Begining
Many examples of things some people do that are illegal…underage drinking, drug use, jay walking, etc … The penalty of being banned from participating in collegiate athletics is a deterrent for most players. It obviously doesn’t stop everyone, but it stops most. I suppose that If an employment contract stated that a speeding offense was grounds for termination, less people would speed. Doesn’t stop everyone, but certainly “slows them down”. The penalty is the deterrent. If the penalty is not enforced then what?- Marsh Duck - CFB Gambling Problem is Only Just Begining
All of these players are young, but nobody can say that they are not aware that sports gambling on any sport that the NCAA sponsors is forbidden. NIL money doesn’t corrupt any of these young athletes, it just gives us a clearer picture of their morality. Most of the newsworthy stories about NIL are about the huge contracts awarded, and perhaps the misguided use of those monies. Given time, many that had an opportunity to invest for their future, will be broke because of poor financial decisions.- Slow-Season Footbridge Report at Autzen Stadium...
I think it was a requirement to meet certain safety standards.- QUAAAACKS, Locals WR Malachi Garlington and TE George Vansandt Commit . . . Plus Tore Down the Ewe Dub Fence to Land Achilles Reyna
Add Achilles Reyna to the list, he also just committed.- A Must Read . . . Dark Money is Now Out in the Open and Unregulated. That is the Problem.
When does the money that is being spent to stay “competitive “ become too much? With out a spending cap, will college athletes start making more money than their “professional” counterparts? The “inflationary path” that college football is currently on is unsustainable.- CONGRESS TO THE RESCUE?
The Bill being 111 pages long just shows how lawmakers can propose a solution that is so complex that it requires a team of attorneys to analyze it for weeks to understand the ramifications, and find any available loopholes. Then, it will be challenged in court, and those same attorneys get another payday. Sigh….- Several Million in NIL at Nebraska Shot Down by the CSC (College Sports Commission).
It reads like NIL collectives are now forced to “throw mud” at the CSC to see what sticks. The CSC creates the illusion of regulating NIL deals, when all that is happening is collectives throw a larger number of smaller deals together to meet the criteria that the CSC sets as their standard. The winner is whoever gets paid the $750 million in arbitration costs….can we get a piece of that action?- GameDay Thread and POST-GAME THOUGHTS of the 2026 Oregon Spring Football Game...
I have to agree, a snooze fest. The interviews of former players was a distraction. Nice to see former players attend, but they seemed determined to interview all of them while the game is being played.- QUAAAACCK!! Will Mencl IS A DUCK!
Is it pronounced Mensull, or Menkull?- MORAL QUESTION OF THE DAY!!
They used to give out Taco Bell Chalupa coupons for scoring 100 points at the Blazer games. The crowd would chant chalupa when they approached 100 pts. Never hear them chant breakfast sandwich after Taco Bell dropped out. I dislike the rodents, but free seems like a good price. You can give it away, perhaps to the Beavers alums who are always panhandling at the stoplights.- The NBA Season
Kind of like college football. Why do you think they expanded the CFP. Does anybody believe a 12, or potentially a 16 seed will win the championship? It’s all about the money to pay the obscene contracts of players and coaches. I see no difference. - Marsh Duck - CFB Gambling Problem is Only Just Begining
