TEXAS TECH Must BEG Their Way Into BIG TEN and Say GOODBYE to the Big 12!Texas Tech eyes a seismic shift—should the Red Raiders abandon the Big 12 and push for a coveted Big Ten spot? Bolstered by billionaire alum Cody Campbell’s oil-fueled investment and record-breaking NIL deals, Texas Tech’s rapid football ascent positions them as a prime target for conference realignment. With the Big 12’s $39 million payouts lagging far behind the Big Ten’s $80 million distributions, does staying even make sense for a powerhouse on the rise? Craig Shemon examines exit fee math, Texas Tech’s bid for AAU accreditation, and whether Tony Petitti’s Big Ten would welcome a new Texas footprint. The episode also covers the fallout from Brendan Sorsby’s costly gambling suspension, the looming Sports Protection Act in Congress, schedule updates that could anger Ohio State fans, and a look ahead to key Big Ten classics. Does Texas Tech truly belong in the Power 2 landscape? The discussion is just heating up. Is Cody Campbell actually trying to pull Texas Tech out of the Big 12? Does Texas Tech have a legal way to escape the Big 12 Grant of Rights early? Is the SEC a more realistic landing spot for the Red Raiders than the Big Ten? Can a single billionaire booster rewrite the rules of college football?

Oregon loses RB target to Oklahoma, but Dan Lanning has a bigger prize in mindThus far, Oregon already holds a commitment from a running back in CaDarius McMiller who ranks 172nd in the country and as the 10th best running back in the class. If Oregon only added McMiller it would be a nice haul at running back, but Dan Lanning and the staff are pushing for more. The biggest running back target for the Oregon Ducks remains Texas Native, Landen Williams-Callis. Coming out of the weekend, it should be clear where Oregon lands with the 4-star recruit as he took his official visit to Eugene for the weekend. In-state recruit sets Oregon visit following decommitment from ArkansasIt's always a good idea to try to keep your state's best products close to home. While the Oregon Ducks have continued to recruit nationally in the 2027 cycle, earning commitments from players in 11 states, they have made a greater effort to keep Oregon's top high school talent in the Pacific Northwest. The Ducks made that clear by offering three-star tight end George VanSandt back on May 7. Just a few weeks later, the Central Catholic star is reopening his recruitment. On Wednesday, VanSandt announced his decommitment from Arkansas and scheduled an official visit to Oregon for June 5. VanSandt committed to the Razorbacks in April and was supposed to be in Fayetteville for an official visit this weekend. Now, those plans have been called off. https://duckswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/ducks/recruiting/2026/05/28/oregon-football-recruiting-george-vansandt-arkansas-decommit/90297184007/- 2027 Recruitment, Announcements, Interviews, Etc. Camara had also been scheduled to officially visit Texas A&M on May 29, LSU on June 5 and Texas on June 12. He was previously expected to visit SMU on May 1, but did not make that trip. Oregon closes in on destructive defensive tackle from the city of big shouldersIn the first clip of his HUDL junior highlights, 6-3, 305 defensive tackle Brayden Parks evades a blocker with a swim move, demolishes an outside zone read play at the mesh. In the second he lines up at nose, so quick to the quarterback that the center doesn't lay a hand on him. Parks is strong, beastly strong like Derrick Harmon or A'Mauri Washington, creating inside pressure with quickness and tenacity. He has good feet, too, keeping them moving as he works through the pass protection with the agility of an edge rusher. He blows things up. His ability to get off a block and accelerate is phenomenal, as fast as anyone on the field in the first ten yards. A four-star prospect in the 2027 class, Parks makes his official visit to Oregon on June 19th. He's at Ohio State this weekend and Notre Dame on June 12, his three finalists. Recruiting analyst Brian Smith told Spencer McLaughlin of Locked on Ducks, "Oregon's trending. People around Notre Dame think he would pick Oregon right now. That's how powerful Oregon's recruiting machine is. And it doesn't really stop there."
