  2. Know the Foe: Five Northwestern Wildcat players to knowThe Ducks will play their second Big Ten road game of the season against Illinois on Saturday at 12 PM. Here are five Ilini players to know entering the game. https://247sports.com/college/oregon/longformarticle/know-the-foe-five-northwestern-wildcat-players-to-know--291822591/
  3. Oregon commit CaDarius McMiller sends message after Drew Mehringer firing https://duckswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/ducks/recruiting/2026/10/26/oregon-football-cadarius-mcmiller-commit-reacts-drew-mehringer-firing/92445077007/
  4. I think it would help Dante's draft stock if he returned to help the Ducks win their remaining games. If he doesn't return by choice, then I will have some questions about him being a "team player" and his "brotherhood" with those on the team.
  5. I can’t blame Dante at all if he decides to sit. Lannning put together a $50M team and led it with papier-mâché coaches. Live and learn. As for AS jr, let’s see. Every QB OBD has put out there this year has looked anywhere from bad to horrendous. This team has been beaten by two back up QBs including a freshman. I’m done with the excuses why he shouldn’t start let alone play. Oregon’s QBR this year is somewhere between the bottom of the Marianna Trench and the center of the earth. Let him play and keep him out there until he accumulates over seven turnovers which has already been accomplished this year.
  6. Even if the play calls were okay, Raiola definitely regressed this year. The more time he spent practicing with the 1s, the worse he got. That is 💯 coaching.
  7. Today

  8. I certainly wouldn't blame him. No point in hurrying back from a concussion with no shot at the playoffs. Rest up and prepare for the draft. I definitely would like to see some of Akili if he's at all ready to be out there.
  9. ASjr should get some snaps in each game thats left.
  10. Raiola is just plain out bad. Even if he sees people open he cant hit them.
  11. CBS will mean Paramount + for streaming which is a better picture. How Oregon is favored vs Northwestern is beyond me but just shows why I am not a gambler. I would like to know who will be acting as our Offensive Coordinator for this game and I am sure it will come out this week.
  12. I'm seeing suggestions that Dante Moore may not return to play for the Ducks this year, (George Whrister for one). Anyone have more info? If so, how do we feel about this? Is it time to give Akili Smith a chance? Are we just throwing in the towel for the season? I for one would be disappointed. Thoughts? Insights?
  13. A 12:30 Pacific body clock start for OBD in Columbus on November 7th. CBS, not the Big Noon crew, is broadcasting the game. Oregon is a -3.5 favorite vs. Northwestern on Halloween. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/2026-college-foortball-schedule-big-ten-cbs/
  14. A lot of Duck fans really need to walk back 50% of their blame on Mehringer.
  15. And this is why I'm not too mad at Mehringer like the rest. Meh was getting people open for sure, Raiola just blind as a bat.
  16. didnt even look his way right in front of him. Raiola missed two sure TD's and a slew of wrong reads where people were open and he didnt even see them
  17. Found these Ducks fans a few weeks ago. Good stuff!
  18. In Week 9, College GameDay will be in Bloomington, Indiana, for the No. 31 Minnesota Gophers, traveling by rowboat, vs. No. 4 Indiana. Hard to believe, but there is no trophy, Floyd, Jug, Brown, or otherwise, associated with this game. Coach Cig is still giving thanks to Wolverines OC Joe Beck, with a true frosh starting his first game at QB, calling a pass play on 3rd and goal at the Hoosiers one, which resulted in a 13-yard loss and a missed FG attempt. After checking in at the Ann Arbor Unemployment office, Beck should FaceTime with Meh for a shot and a beer. Beck is the highest-paid OC in the nation. He followed Whit East, so there is no pink slip, as of yet, in the offing. With SC notably gaining -17 yards rushing against No. 25 Wisconsin, and with Julian Sayin injured and out, Rece and friends decided to skip a Halloween trip to LA. With the game in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Gators and Dawgs fans will be tipping a few at The World's Largest Indoor Cocktail Party, while pointing the finger North in the direction of Pat McAfee, back home again in Indiana. Speaking of The Bird, are Northwestern games required to be shown (and not watched) on Peacock? 🤬 https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/espn-college-gameday-location-announced-162125644.html
  19. Lanning is probably trying to figure out a way to keep Kelly from getting on the plane to come out here. 😄
  20. Raiola missed a 5 yard pass to a wide open Moore by a yard or more. Pretty sad.
  21. When you've got Dan in your ear chewing every time you turn the ball over in games and practice you quickly become the check down king. And we don't know that Mehringer wasn't biasing DR to take the short throws too. Mehringer alone was bad enough for us to lose, but he definitely got help from the QB and Dan's conservatism, missing 4 of our top 5 WRs and inconsistent OL blocking.
  22. It seems likely to me that Lanning must have anticipated this situation occurring, and however much he hoped to avoid it, I'd be surprised if he didn't have a list prepared of possible candidates to pursue immediately. I'm anxious to hear his plan for Northwestern.
  23. Remember that SEC teams all play an additional conference game this year. I could all but guarantee that a 9-3 SEC team will get in and there is a high likelihood there will be more than one. I think Oregon is essentially mathematically eliminated. Even if you win out, you are not climbing back into the Top 11.
  24. Oregon -3.5 vs. Northwestern and the CBS Sports simulated results like Oregon to cover. https://www.cbssports.com/betting/news/college-football-odds-picks-predictions-week-9-2026/
  25. I see several 9-3 teams making the playoffs, because there won't be enough Power 2, 10 and 2 or better teams. If we were to win out which includes beating Ohio State, we would be in consideration for sure. It's just not really in the cards with the under coached talent we have. Just changing the OC won't be enough.
  26. We've got to be able to laugh during these trying times. This one came to me in a moment of some sort of bizarre inspiration.
