OREGON vs. OHIO STATE
Thank you, Duck NV. It would ruin the delicious Dixiecrat flavor, but you could include (sigh) Oregon, Michigan, UW, Penn State, and coming soon, USC fans into the mix. Add Chip Kelly in Northwestern gear with a chain saw in hand coming through the front door and not miss a beat. Or, a beat down. Some much needed and appreciated humor. 😁😎😍

Uniform Reveal for the Northwestern Game...
The reality is that generation O uniforms are basically a bunch of unique uniform sets that aren't meant to be mixed and matched. Which means they aren't great for what Oregon wants to do with uniforms. New uniforms next year and a new age of Lanning and Oregon football to go with it!

Under tthe coaching of Chip Kelly and Jerry Neuhesiel, NW QB Aiden Chiles is having a honey of a season - https://nusports.com/news/2026/10/26/aidan-chiles-named-big-ten-offensive-player-of-the-week-again

Definitely not digging these. But at least there's no grey pants!

Uniform Reveal for the Northwestern Game...
Agreed. It ruins the stormtrooper look. They care more about keeping the green than what would have been a cleaner look. I won't get mad about it.

Availability Report Wednesday Before Northwestern
Wow, that's basically full strength at WR. A big change from a week ago.

The green outline of the number is just weird. Another case that these uniforms are really not designed to be mixed and matched. The all black the green number outline looks fine. But when paired with the white it just looks like different kits being slammed together.

Availability Report Wednesday Before Northwestern
Looks like Oregon will have 3 WRs back who weren't "available" last weekend: Stewart, Hampton, Lott The two running backs listed for Northwestern have not been big contributors. Looking at team stats, it appears QB Chiles had taken every snap.

- BIG Setting NIL Cap Limit at 49MIL
This policy applies to institutional action only as student-athletes remain free to pursue NIL opportunities on their own." And this add...in the spirit of Chip Kelly's return...- Why Growing Your Own QB Has Died a Quiet Death
I actually believe the mid level 4 Star recruits absolutely should go the G6 route. They can still get a decent deal, and they'll start immediately. Of course, it also makes sense to go to Rutgers, or P4 programs like Duke (where Miami's QB Mensa was at last year). I wrote an article on Smith Jr. his Senior year in High School. He has treaded water based on what I have seen. He still holds the ball too long. He probably doesn't get enough reps, unless he is on the scout team. Playing time is essential. It's too bad parents and agents aren't looking out for their kid's best interests. QBs need relevant muscle memory. Practice doesn't cut it anymore. Unless you stay your entire career in one program.- AI....to Call the Plays for Oregon?

- Lanning Talks About the Process of the New Hire
Mehringer was assisting Stein in play calling duties last year- you could hear him in some of the Ducks vs Them Series last year. Of course they only played his successful calls. But it makes sense Lanning trusted Mehringer based on those snippets. It could be the beginning of the year "baked in" the team's confidence, given they seemed to be off center immediately. It could be the team sensed they weren't the same dominating team they succeeded. Some of the calls I saw in the document/propaganda piece suggested Mehringer had a feel for the game, but again, they were feeding us an intro and narrative they wanted us to see.Yesterday

This is in line with the Save College Sports Act. Big Ten limits schools' involvement in outside NIL deals - ESPN Let the lawsuits begin.- AI....to Call the Plays for Oregon?
It is 2026. All this talk about the OC and play calling? Maybe the Ducks should circle the massive stable of coaches and train an AI Bot to call the plays for each opponent then updating the down and distance after each play? I would bet on A.I. over Johnson and staff. An objective of 42 points or 500 yards per game might be the goal of the Bot challenge. Hey, some have called for a revolutionary change in lieu of more of the same V2.- Why Growing Your Own QB Has Died a Quiet Death
Helf did a game knows game in 2016 and hired David Yost (surfer looking dude) who is an elite QB coach, he'd put Blaine Gabbert into the 1st round before that. Of course, Wille came in and cut him loose and replaced him with Arroyo, so we downgraded about as far as we could.- Oregon - Northwestern Pre-game Reports, Interviews, Etc.
Players react to Moore and Mehringer situations. Oregon players react to Dante Moore news and Jay Johnson calling plays On the Play-Calling Change Jordon Davison: "He's pretty straight to the point. He's a great guy, and he obviously had great players at Michigan State. He had a Doak Walker Award winner and, I think, a 4,000-yard passer. So his history is great, and his track record is great. I'm excited to see what he does with the offense."- OFF TOPICS: For Your Interest (12)
Desperate times, Maryland going to a lottery for free tuition for staying to the end of the game. Maryland offers shot at free tuition for staying until 4th vs. Illinois - ESPN FYI, I think it was 1970 Jack Nicholson was directing a BBall movie, "Drive he said" (don't bother checking the Academy records) staring former UCLA star Mike Warren and Karen Black. For the crowd scenes in Mac Court, they lotteried a VW bug if you were there for all filming days. This was during the Nixon Cambodia crisis and there were student demonstrations on Agate Street. Tear gas and a new DuPont product, pepper gas, were deployed. Nicholson got his camera crew there to film and had Warren join the students. When all was said and done, Jack posted bail for all those arrested. After the Daily Emerald ran photos, DuPont offered $5,000 for the rights to the gassing photos for PR, which was politely turned down. - Uniform Reveal for the Northwestern Game...
