I tend to agree. Dan Lanning is having years taken off his life with this offensive misery. This level of discomfort is surely going to result in real changes. Dan will grow. But it is jarring to see what we are right now compared what we used to be.

Illinois wins. 16-12 1 Turnover 6 sacks 138 Yards Passing

Never said they were smart with money... Only that they were too eager to spend it.

As much as folks want to complain, it seems we are still in the price discovery phase of NIL. As much as the NCAA wants to get it's antitrust exemption, they aren't going to be able to put the toothpaste back in the tube. My personal opinion is that this is just showing there has been a lot of money being unfairly withheld from the gladiators for generations. That's the real un-American travesty, not that NIL is ruining the sport as some suggest.

I see that Jack Ressler is not listed as out. I liked his high school tapes, as did Notre Dame, USC, and others. He has been injured most of his time at Oregon after redshirting his first year. In his high school tapes, he was an elusive, hard-nosed little receiver. It will be a nice surprise if he plays and has a belated coming-out party.

Charles I think you need a new rule: No unfounded character assassinations. It's getting really unfortunate to see.

$54 million to get rid of Kelly. $90 million to bring in Lame. A roster payroll of $45 to $50 million. 4-2 and on the hunt for private equity funding. BRILLIANT!

No one ever said that actually getting to the point where we could win a national championship would be easy.

OMG. I am changing my predictions. Might we see two tight-end looks during the game? We will see Lewis, Bair, and Hooks get their chance.

Oregon 24 Illinois 17 2 4 175

Hopefully GB won't bounce the ball off his face mask. Going to need some production out of him

Springfield PD has already debunked racing as just a rumor.

I'm seeing online that Lott may have been banged up near the end of last game.

The Good News? It isn’t permanent…it is just one tough year.

Hmmm anything to do with fast cars🤔

I'm sitting here watching 2015 Oregon vs Arizona State, with Big Play VA and all of our skill players that could run like scalded cats, and I really miss that time. Yeah defenses sucked, and almost none of our players were headed to the NFL except Buckner and Royce, but so what? It was really fun to watch. Getting back to title of the post, today we are lumbering behemoth of 4 and 5 stars on offense that can't figure out how to get out of our own way, combined with an elite smothering defense. There are probably 30 people on the team right now that will end up on an NFL roster. We are now a quintessential Big 10 team with a ton of talent, all defense and no offense. Let's raise a toast to what once was and accept the trendy cliche that the Ducks are indeed the Hero that lived long enough to become the Villain. Our Transition to the Dark Side of the Force is now complete..

Its starting to look, that our best players see what.a horrible year we have and have decided to stay out as long as possible. Money, has ruined collage sports. How sad.

Yeah, lack of height is going to be a challenge. Athleticism can make up for that a bit. I'm hoping Jasper Johnson can settle in at the point. He's a pretty good shooter. He just needs to be a little more careful with the ball. Ariza, Compton and Meadow look like they can bang a little bit. Hope to see a bit more improvement Sunday.

Maybe they got the Camaro running.

7-3 After tomorrows home game. 😁

OBD will now be without 4 of their top 5 WRs. What the heck is going on? https://duckswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/ducks/football/2026/10/23/oregon-football-jalen-lott-messiah-hampton-illinois-out/92405876007/

I think they were going to get outbid no matter what to be honest. LSU boosters will just keep writing checks. But there were plenty of other good linemen in the portal and we didn't seem to pursue them.

Oregon 42-6 3 TO 2 sacks 265 passing

I could see him getting a quiet restart to his career at Northwestern under Chip Kelly. Fewer eyeballs, less pressure.
