What Will We SE(C)E from the B1G in Week 2? Will OBD Cowboys Up?
ND, I'm hoping that your Dawgs and the Ducks overlap on 1/25/27 in Las Vegas. Two big games in Week 4: UGA hosts Oklahoma, and Oregon trips to LA to play SC. Between the Kiffin circus and the Arch madness, UGA is flying under the radar. No doubt this is fine with Kirby. Kirby will be celebrating on 12/5 in Atlanta when Georgia wins what could be the last conference championship game on the way to another PO appearance. Keep on barking, you hairy Dawgs!

Ducks are catching 100+ balls a day. Some up to 500! And not just on offense. Oregon Stays Ahead of the Curve With Use Of This Distinct Practice Habit

Stewart adds to his NIL deal, or should we call him McStewart? Oregon Receiver Evan Stewart Flexes Off-Field Brand With Latest NIL Move Plus, here is an example of ignoring the other side of the story. It seems ticket prices have dropped for this game. The headline blames it on Oregon's closer than expected win over Boise St. Then it talks about weather being a factor. Humm, I'm thinking if I'm in Still-need-bourbon-in-my-water, the are other TV options available not to mention the putrid outing of my team last year carrying over to week 1. Damn Jon, exactly what I had planned to post. I guess great minds think alike. I'll also post that the Ducks and my Dawgs overlap timewise AGAIN! This happens more often than it should it seems. Of course, both games overlap with Oklahoma /Michigan as well. Gonna be some channel flippin going on, that's for sure.

Iread the addicted to quack article on OSU and it was pretty damning. There is a world where the outcome isn't too different from last year

Oregon 41-16 2 TO 3 Sacks 310 passing yds Oregon starts a little slow due to the hour and the wet heat, but settles in and clobbers OSU in the middle 8. At least 500 yds total offense with the run game getting ~200.

34-20 Ducks win 1 turnover 3 sacks 256 yards of passing I don't see Oregon getting all their problems solved yet with 3 hard days of practice. Hope I'm wrong.

Marsh Duck - Final Thoughts and Prediction for Oregon vs Oklahoma State
I saw a statistical breakdown of Mestermaker that basically showed how bad he was under pressure. And the result was.... Really really bad under pressure. If the defensive line can get consistent push it's not going to be pretty for him.
-
Marsh Duck - Final Thoughts and Prediction for Oregon vs Oklahoma State
I think it's going to be high scoring game. Mestermaker had a bad first game with his receivers relative to what he did at Texas, and we shouldn't expect them to have 5+ turnovers, so I think they do much better at home and put up some points going through the air. I don't think their defense is likely to give up a lot of big plays, and I expect once the game is out of reach we will keep the starting OL in to help them further gel and Raiola with come in and still light it up with the second string WRs, and the backup RBs will have a field day. We shall see.

I'm always too optimistic in my score predictions. Which is why I'm pretty much always wrong.

Marsh Duck - Final Thoughts and Prediction for Oregon vs Oklahoma State
Thanks, David, and I love your final-score optimism. Wounded Cowboys making a stand at their ranch. A new and unsettled O-line that will hear Autzen-like noise when on the field. First time on the road for two new coordinators—a '9 AM' kickoff. 10 penalties at home; on the road? A positive? Big Ten refs will call the game; pray it's not the crew we saw in Autzen last Saturday. Noon Saturday in Stillwater - 95 degrees, 60%+ humidity, thunderstorms that could delay the start of the game or delay the game once it has started. It is what it is, and I certainly hope OBD covers the -23.5. --- Sorry, but I feel the need for some Whine Time. You should never schedule Boise State, period! Why schedule OK State? A series that Rob scheduled before the Mullet was scalped. USC's three OOC games before hosting Oregon: San Jose State, Fresno State, and Louisiana from the Sun Belt, all in LA, and there's also a road game at Rutgers. (Could Rutgers defeat SC's three OOC opponents?) With its conference SOS in 2026, SC goes 10-2, and it's a PO lock. Ditto Ducks. Whether or not SC makes the PO, no one (except for those os us who dislike Linc and the SUCs) will remember thousands of fans disguised as empty seats in Week 0. Fortunately, the Baylor series was dropped. The weather in Waco, Texas, in early September is also intolerable. Before CFB goes to a 24-team PO and 10 P4 opponents are mandated, the Art of the Scheduling Deal matters a great deal. Watch out for lightning and Lasso the Cowboys!
