  1. For me, we’ve been mostly borderline unwatchable since 2020, we just don’t play a modern brand of basketball imo. My expectation every season, was/is/and continues to be 12+ losses and being on the bubble. I’ll continue to watch, but we don’t seem to be very serious about basketball overall. If we’re cool with the above, it is what it is. Love me some historic Dana, but I’m not sure about 2025 Dana if we want to ever actually pursue a title.
  2. Funny how becoming DC for OBD could make it wane.
  3. I’ve heard that’s a no.
  4. Cascade Clash is even better than “they” realize: In the folklore of the area's Indigenous peoples, Mt. Rainier and Mt. Hood are cast in significant roles within myths about Mt. St. Helens. One common legend describes the three mountains as being involved in a love triangle, where the two warriors (Mt. Hood and Mt. Adams) fought over the beautiful maiden Loowit (Mt. St. Helens). Another tale from the Cowlitz tribe tells of Mt. St. Helens (Lavelatla) becoming jealous of Mt. Rainier (Tahoma) and knocking off its head.
  5. I’m with you. Just pointing out there are some pretty big pluses in the macro if we somehow make the conference title game. I’m personally not in accounting with the athletic department, so windfalls don’t really get me anything selfishly. The path with a home game is probably the easier path with the current format, so that is 💯 what I want!
  6. Also, occurs to me that with the new seeding format a 3 game post season path is now possible. Conference champions aren’t guaranteed anything other than entry into the tournament. Say all goes to form, UI beats tOSU and we beat UW handily…pretty good chance that at 11-1 with our only loss being to undefeated 13-0 UI, that could land us in the top-4.
  7. All good points, but define “helps us”. The conference potentially getting 4 teams in the playoff would definitely help us financially and with recruiting versus the SEC for conference supremacy narratives. That being said, in the here and now, conference championship games are a penalty if you’re already in as an at large host. Either path leads to being 4 games away from a championship, (up to 5 more (!) if you lose the B1G game), but one of those paths includes a home game Pretty sure I prefer the path with a home game and a cap of 4 more games.
  8. Funny, in Beavis fan sites they don’t want to include him in their search cuz they’re being super selective 😂 Loved Chip’s time here, but we can go ahead and cross him off the list for any potential openings imo…oh, and cross off Brooks and Bellotti while we’re at it.
  9. Yeah, I believe we’re in against Indiana if tOSU loses and everything else goes as planned. Whole lotta rivalry games this week, could get crazy.
  10. Definitely. I was underwhelmed by their QB. At times, their offense consisted of throwing up 50/50 lob shots to 3 NFL receivers.
  11. Not that I want or expect it to happen, but probably gives us some more hope of making the playoff if something flukey happens next week. Lot of football left to play, we could still back into the conference title game as well. TOSU has had a pretty soft schedule since the opener, and Michigan will have a chip on their shoulder, wouldn’t be shocked if they punched the Bucks in the mouth and won again to crash the playoff.
  12. I lived on the border of SEC land (NC) for 5 years and can relate to the bubble and general nuttiness. It’s pretty insane imo, that someone like Lane thinks he needs to jump to LSU or Florida in 2025. He has more money than he can personally count…and they’ll give him more. He’s built it up so he probably is getting about as good of a year to year roster as he can expect to get anywhere else. The only reason to leave really imo would be to go back to your alma mater, or if he and his family actually didn’t like living there. You can do all these things anywhere and still need some luck for it to all come together in a particular year.
  13. Time for my favorite pics when talking about ancient football things! The fact the two pics are 50 years apart (and that might not occur to somebody) only underscores how irrelevant these ancient things are.
  14. The fact they know we exist shows how much we’ve risen and they’ve fallen. They’re aware of the age of our CB’s? I couldn’t name a single player on the USC D.
  15. In defense of 🤡, if they can even get whiff of Stein that would be the best hire possible for them for so many obvious reasons. Reality check, high end P2 coordinators don’t typically leave for G6 programs, especially in 2025…would be completely insane given the current demand.
  16. The delusional and willing ignorance continues. I actually saw a conversation on one of their sites where someone said, “hard pass” concerning Stein. He’s not up to snuff ya know .
  17. Silly. A team (🤔) that went 2-7 against opponents they were on par with or exceeded for spending per player on their roster, yet still manage to keep choking, THAT is fragile. Fragile teams don’t win on the road.
  18. Exactly. If for some reason we decided to leave the B1G, they seem to think that there would be some requirement to re-join the PAC, and they’d hold the keys to the kingdom. Uh no, that’s not actually a rule. We’d just start a new entity. And anyone that claims they know the ACC is imploding is just making things up imo. There’s way more brand depth in that conference than the B12 has…it might get watered down by 4 teams, but those other teams need to play somewhere, and that somewhere is not the new PAC.
  19. Exhibit A of why only 3 P4 teams had less than 2 losses in last years’s bracket. Long season.
  20. Think we root for getting as highly ranked as possible imo. TAM currently down big. Go team chaos.
  21. A bit of a reality check for Beavis that might fly under the radar. James Franklin is the leading candidate at VaTech as of today. That is probably a program Beavis would have considered themselves (incorrectly) better than 3 years ago. Franklin wouldn’t even give them a whiff now.
  22. Good thing…I was running out of emails for free trial accounts with Fubo 😆
  23. I mean, the team will never aim to not win the conference, that’s not how college sports work…but we saw rust versus rest on full display last year.
