  1. Oddly, unlike Oregon, no 9:00 AM PST, or 8:00 PM PST starts.
  2. If by "He" you mean Brock, I would argue that about 90 total yards of total offense through three quarters would suggest otherwise.
  3. The offense... and it's not even close. It's so atrocious that I don't even know where to begin. It's seriously so horrendous, on multiple levels that it's hard to know where to start. But one of the most amazing things I keep thinking about is Lanning calling those timeouts at the end of the second quarter, when we had 50 yards total offense and 0 points. What was the plan... to get ourselves pinned deep in our own territory off of a Nebraska punt, and suddenly, with the half winding down, Brock, who couldn't/hadn't hit the side of a barn, was miraculously going come out throwing like Bo Nix and take us 70 yards downfield for a TD? And obviously, leaving Brock in for 3 quarters is a mystery of mysteries. And this is just the tip of the iceberg.
  4. Oh my goodness. This is beyond atrocious. For us to have any hope of winning, I think our defense is going to have to score at least two touchdowns.
  5. #'s 1, 2, 5, 6, & 7, all lost today. Things are pretty open for any team that decides to win out.
  6. We're in the Top-5 for NIL spending, and yet, we seem to have only been able to pick up a lot of 2nd tier coaching staff. This seem very odd to me.
  7. The bummer with brain concussions, aka. brain damage, is that each concussion is not independent regarding damage to the brain... meaning that the damage is cumulative. There is no brain concussion reset button, so to speak. Following a concussion, the brain also becomes more susceptible to additional future concussions. There are reputable studies which show that people reporting three or more concussions had poorer cognitive performance which got progressively worse with each concussion. Concussions are also associated with a higher risk of lasting long term problems --- particularly for attention, memory, processing speed, and handling complex tasks. All items which are obviously rather critical for the QB. Hoping for the best for Dante.
  8. I asked that same question 3 weeks ago. Especially at this point today, if I'm Dante, and I wasn't sure when I'd be back to full strength, and given that we're 7 weeks into the season, it would certainly would be a question on the table for me at this point. Seven weeks ago, who would have thought our team would be in the situation we are now.
  9. It's a fantastic story. I did not intend to suggest anything else. I hope they make it into the playoffs. Frankly, I'm beginning to wonder if we need to start focusing more on the three star player market. 😉
  10. Years ago, Steve Martin had a bit in one of his stand up comedy acts where he said something about him being the quarterback, but that he like to punt on first down... just to keep the other team totally off balance.
  11. I would absolutely like to see the statistical data on that. I have a feeling your statement is likely correct. However, some coaches are much better at deciding when to go for it and when to not. So a breakdown by individual coaches would be really interesting to look at.
  12. Great to see this actually moving forward. And it sounds very likely that we will be dumping the rather worthless conference championship game, which is definitely the right move. Also, having the opening two rounds played on home field sites is absolutely the right decision. Teams, and fans, with the best record should stop being punished with a so-called neutral site. I like 24 teams. That's means about 19% (24/124) of all qualified teams will have a shot at the title --- Which is close to the same as in college basketball... 18% (64/363). 24 teams opens it up a bit, but doesn't dilute it.
  13. DuckFan93: Hope my negative-jinx helps OBD! Exactly. My predictions have been so horrendous that I thought I would try the reverse psychology approach as well.
  14. No Dante & No Stewart Nebraska 31-21 1 1 231
  15. If the Beavs made the playoffs, they'd get absolutely crushed. Much like we did the last couple of years.
  16. Congratulations to Mr. Bailey Ettridge. Those are crazy huge numbers. Well, well, done.
  17. At the rate Kiffin is losing at LSU, Lane might come available pretty soon. I'll just say it: Kiffin for Duck OC!
  18. The defense should definitely be holding their heads pretty high today. I have no idea how a team recovers seven turnovers, and a defense holds them to only 17 points... even with a backup QB for part of the game.
  19. Extremely sorry for the kid. However, while I think that they are good, I certainly do not think that they are great. To play a team that coughed up seven turnovers, while UCLA only scored 17 points, and barely won by two, doesn't exactly impress me very much.
  20. Really hate to see that happen. Obviously, if the Bruins had been playing USC, the Condoms would probably still be celebrating on the sidelines.
  21. Yep... ESPN's Football Power Index still luvs us! So, we've got that going for us!
