  1. The article says he was playing with a helmet and pads. However, I would be shocked if he was out there on Saturday.
  2. The low point on this topic for ESPN was about a year ago, when they had Mike Greenberg and some others talking about the dangers of sports gambling, all while the ESPN BET ticker was rolling at the base of the screen. You can’t make it up.
  3. What a complete joke! The voters somehow continue to get worse. Do they even watch these games? Luckily, these votes don’t mean anything because they reek of incompetence. Iowa loses to No. 5 tOSU by 17 points and drops 6 spots. Mississippi State loses to No. 7 Alabama by 33 points at home and drops 1 spot?
  4. My only concern in this game is defensive scheme. I hope Oregon is smart enough to keep 5-6 in the box consistently to combat their strong run game. They need to make Nico try and beat them.
  5. My BIG Grades: A - tosu, Indiana B- Oregon, Northwestern, Nebraska, UCLA C- Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, USC, Washington D - Purdue, Michigan, Penn State, MSU, Illinois F - Maryland, Rutgers
  6. How does this happen? Missouri absolutely throttled Florida. Very hard to take any of these ranking seriously. They are a joke!
  7. Mehringer had a rough start, but I thought he called pretty good games the last two weeks. As long as he keeps improving, Oregon will be fine.
  8. Looks like Oregon broke USC. You hate to see it. 🤣
  9. For the first time in my entire life, I will be pulling for UW to win a football game.
  10. Yes. I would take him in a second. His offenses set all kinds of program records at East Carolina and Oklahoma. He has coached 3 Heisman winning QBs. His Oklahoma offense averaged 46 points per game when he was the OC. As Charles indicated, I believe his main issues are lack of leadership and establishing a winning program culture. We already have that with Dan. If he just had to call plays and coach QBs, I would be onboard with giving it a shot.
  11. Max Browne (ex USC QB) with some analysis on Dylan:
  12. Sorry David - I should have said thank you for posting a great article before I posted!
  13. As another poster indicated, I need to see more. If both are available and you had to choose a starter for UCLA, I would stick with Moore for right now. Dylan played great at USC, which is encouraging to see, but it also wasn’t perfect. That ball he threw to Hampton on the sideline could have easily been picked. Also, on the 3rd down when he rolled to the right, he had Stewart WIDE OPEN on post play for an easy TD and he didn’t see him. His mechanics are far from perfect. On the throw to Hampton across the middle, he had time to set and get his body over his feet, but he didn’t. As a result, the throw was behind Hampton. Also, the TD throw to DM was late, but it worked. It’s clear that right now Dylan is more comfortable in the pocket under pressure. It is also clear that Moore’s throwing mechanics are better and he is less likely to put the ball in danger. USC’s defense is VERY bad and you could argue that it is worse than last year. Does Dylan get away with those throws against a great defense or do they result in a turnover or two? I need to see more against a defense that can actually stop someone. He might get that chance in two weeks against UCLA. Let me add that they both are exceptional college QBs, so that is a good problem to have.
  14. Very well done, Oregon! Respect the Game video with Chris Brown’s “Loyal” on the piano keys is ice cold. 🥶
  15. Someone changed Riley’s Wiki page. Under the section that says “Parents”, it now lists Dan Lanning. 🤣
  16. USC lost more than a game yesterday. They also lost their integrity. I fully expected to wake up to the news that Riley was gone this morning. Guess not. I never, ever thought I would say this in my lifetime, but go Huskies. I hope they beat the crap out of USC next week.
  17. USC has beaten Oregon ONE time in the last 15 years. I’m feeling great. Go Ducks! Hoping Moore is okay!!!
  18. Switching my pick. Originally had USC, but switched to Oregon because I couldn’t get the taste of throw up out of my mouth. Oregon 28-27 0 turnovers 0 sacks 284 yards passing. There are so many issues with this team right now. The OL is an absolute mess with both starting tackles PFF grades under 30, which includes the PSU game. I didn’t see anything against PSU to indicate it was any better. PSU was in the backfield, but just wasn’t athletic enough to make plays. Penalties are still an issue. Both coordinators are new. On defense, LBs are frequently out of position and the DL can’t get pressure. That’s a lot to clean up in one week. However, in Dan I trust.
  19. Very cool!!! I am an engineer, but I had to do it the hard way. I didn’t know I wanted to be an engineer until my third year at Oregon, so stuck it out and got a degree in General Science, then went on to study engineering.
  20. Spencer McLaughlin reported today that Oregon asked Portland State TWICE if they would like to shorten the game and they declined. At that point, any argument of running up the score is gone.
  21. He is killing it at Cal. He currently leads the FBS with 5 interceptions so far this year.
