This forum is my fun, and will be here long-term, but the web address for the Our Beloved Ducks Forum will be changing in the next two weeks. If you do not go to the new web address, then you will lose the forum, as we are not staying at this web address after the sale of FishDuck.com is complete.

We will be at the current web address until further notice, but I anticipate the change in the next 10-14 days. I will post a notification before it happens. Save this information below NOW before you forget.

Why am I Selling?

The bottom line is that the time for the article site, FishDuck.com has become too much each week, and it is all work. I cannot spare the time anymore with my Charitable Planned Giving consulting business that I want to focus on to help the local community. I will still be on this forum, as I love posting and love this community.

The article site has become too costly, as revenue has dropped a ton last year and looks much worse this year. I had to put in thousands of dollars of my own money into paying the bills, thus between the time and cost--I had to make a change.

I am very sorry for the FishDuck writers, although we have an article function in this forum that I'll be learning to allow writers to continue their passion. Or they can write long posts, but either way--they will have options to continue writing.

It has been almost 15 years since we began the article site of FishDuck.com, and we have published over 7,000 articles. I am proud of our run, and impact on so many thousands of readers. But, things do change, and it will be strange as "no more FishDuck"....but it is a new chapter in life for me, and I will enjoy embracing it.

And I will no longer be, "Mr. FishDuck," and I'm sure we can come up a PG name for me to replace it with! You are welcome to ask questions below, but know that this forum is NOT going away, but the location on the web of this forum has to change with the sale. Do follow the rest of us over to DiscussOBD.com (when we make the online switch) and savor this coming football season with your favorite Duck-Buddies.

The site and Forum, filled with news, information, and the opinions of fellow Ducks lovers, has consumed months, days and hours of my time challenging my views about Ducks sports.

I know for myself and I can speak for others how this place have been a Green Refuge for all of us! A place where we can share our thoughts on any subject matter is welcomed.

The number of untold financial and hours you have invested was a labor of love to bring enjoyment to each and everyone of us!

Nothing will change in this forum; same rules, same everything, in fact it will look precisely the same because it is the same site, just at a different web address.

Note the red arrow above....that area is the web address or what is called the URL. All you will need to do is delete the forum.fishduck.com and keyboard in the discussobd.com in that address area pointed to by the red arrow and then click the "Return" on Mac, or "Enter" key on PC and it will take you to the new location.

Same site will appear. Then you will SAVE it to your bookmarks or Favorites and you're done.

But NOT until I give the sign to move, and I will when it comes to pass next week. Good question Grampa, as I meant to show this to everyone.

I just hope my grandkids will be available for the move.

As a newcomer, I also want to thank you Charles for all the work you have done. Whether reading articles and comments or occasionally leaving a comment of my own, this has been my go to website for all things Ducks. Much appreciated.

Thank you for being a part of our community--as this site will live on, just at a different web address is all in 10 days-two weeks. You can already see that I removed the "FishDuck" logo at the top, and replaced it with a new Our Beloved Ducks logo.

Big congratulations, Charles, on selling the site. It shows that you have built something of value, and it's the proper reward for all the time, effort and money you have put into your creation. Well done!

Whether things remain the same going forward is to be seen, but your work has given a lot of people a great space for sharing a common passion and will not be forgotten.

There is NO DOUBT...this forum will continue, but instead of at forum.fishduck.com it will be at discussobd.com and will be the same as before....same site only moved to a new web address. Same rules, same everything....

We have a shot at a 'Natty this fall, and we MUST be able to discuss it in civility as this wonderful community does. And you will on the Our Beloved Ducks forum!

As online watering holes go, only FishDuck captured the cerebral excitment, enthusiasm, unique meaning and true spirit that is Oregon sports, which is what drew so many of us to it.

Well, I am not optimistic about what they turn it into. If they were serious about continuing to publish about Oregon Sports--you would think they would have a requirement that I and the four writers would stay on for a while to provide continuity. Nope.

Congratulations on selling the site. The amount of work you have put in all these years deserves some kind of compensation. Moving forward, I hope you can spend more time just as an excited fan with less stress from all the demands of driving a never ending train. Your work has been truly appreciated by this Duck fan.
