I was not aware of this, as Dante Moore's mother took immediate legal action in response to Dante's concussion. -Filed a formal legal complaint with the Los Angeles Police Department on charges of Attempted Deliberate Murder. -She and her legal team (with other law firms) filed a 50 million Civil Lawsuit against USC, and Desmond Stevens. -Held her own press conference to lobby for his permanent expulsion from the NCAA. I am pretty skeptical of her having legal success, but she could inflict punishment with the legal costs alone?

Mike, thanks for posting that video. It was eye opening and worth the view. My takes from the video. Those dig and crossing routes take time to develope. The Duck O line blocked as a unit and gave DR the time he needed for the routes to come open. Good job O Line...... The Duck QB cannot get happy feet and bail. DR did not bail. He bounced on his toes, ran thru his progressions and let the routes develope. He thru to where the receivers were going to come open. Nice work DR...... The relentless dig, crossing and out routes had the usuck defenders confused and out of place. It also wore them out, resulting in the Ducks 4 quarter dominance The usuck defensive confusion set up the 60 yard screen play for Hill. Get NFL talent in space and great things happen. As you mentioned, the Duck D has the same problem. The difference maker was the 2 early sacks. The usuck QB was trying to go thru his progressions and Duck pressure nailed him. After that he was comitted to a specific receiver for his targets. His top level talent made that work. Until the 4th quarter. He had no running game and no time. Ducks tightened coverage and usuck could not score late in the 4th. Kudos to the Duck defense. They stopped usuck on 4th and 7 in usuck territory. Thats progress....... Go Ducks......

Thats the part that bothers me the most.

I could not help but think that if I had been the one who intentionally hit Dante leaving him damaged on the field my reaction would have been to feel guilty, concerned for his health, disappointment in myself, and shame, even disgust for what I had done to him. The fact that some players on that team found that hit a cause for celebration speaks volumes about character and should be used as a teaching moment for everyone who suits up to play. We don't need a book of rules or a bunch of game officials to tell us what constitutes good sportsmanship. A sense of fair play and our conscience would be enough.

I like the new uniforms. And not to be a Debbie Downer, but has the uniform reveal thing gotten a bit old and maybe even stale? It definitely doesn't seem remotely edgy to me anymore, like it did 15 or 20 years ago. Then again, maybe that's just because I'm old. If it's still cool to the kids, then I'm more than happy with it. But frankly, I'd prefer to see the reveal for the first time when they come running out of the tunnel.

I’ve seen this type of hit play out in college football for many years. In every instance but this one, the defensive player had a dejected look on his face because he knew he had to go sit on the sidelines and not play football with his teammates. This is the first time I’ve seen a player celebrate and be fine with sitting on the bench for 3 quarters. He acted no different than a man who was going to receive a bounty payment. The only way this jagoff could’ve been more tone deaf is if he wore number 32 and brown leather gloves.

And why, with 7 minutes or so left, did Riley go for it on 4th down and seven and give Oregon excellent field position? Shades of Dan in Stillwater. Dante or Dylan is a much better 'problem' to have than guys not showing up to play. There is a lot of talent on the SC defense. But D'Anton Lynn had the D playing together more than Gary Patterson. If Dante is out for the next 4 to 6 weeks (which is total speculationon my part), and Dylan seriously steps up and is leading this team and winning, is there a possibility that Dante could redshirt and come back next season?

Great Breakdown by Max Browne. I am sure the same is done on a weekly basis from game and practice film. Sooo much evaluation going on, all the time, that us fans are not privy to. Each QB has their strengths and challenges. I don't think we will see Dante on the field for at least three to four weeks. Concussion protocols are Not to be messed with and any doubt extends the time for a player to be cleared. D Lanning has always made it clear that every position is up for competition. Dante and Dylan both admitted to be pushed by each other earlier this year. In the NIL, 5 to play 5, Transfer portal era, teams can afford to be less "loyal?" to their upperclassmen players and actually focus on hot hands or best situational football. Whatever happens at the QB position over the course of the rest of this year, I for one feel very confident and comfortable with the one QB that the OR coaching staff believes gives OBD the Best opportunity to achieve the goals they set out for this team before the season began. If both of our QB's continue to successfully address their challenges; then either one can help OBD succeed like we want to see them succeed. That's a GREAT position to be in. 🦆🏈🪨's

Here are some sc fans comments about Riley after his presser today. He sounds like a less friendly, much wealthier Clay Helton. So the usual — we were really good and just need to do a little better. How come nobody ever directly asks, “But you said last week, and last month, and last year that we just need to do better — and you never have?” The guy is unwatchable at this point. My hat is off to all of you who tuned in.
