  1. Ryan Clarke, The Oregonian A total of six Oregon WRs warming up: (10:30 am, PT, Saturday) -Dakorien Moore -Iverson Hooks -Hudson Lewis -Gatlin Bair -Jack Ressler -Brady Bidwell
  2. I think the next 6 guys on the WR depth chart have 10 catches for about 75 yds total this season. The O-line better be ready to run block and allow a bit of time for the TE's to get some space.

  4. Wednesdays provide the first of 4 availability reports in the week leading up to a Saturday game. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/49755323/big-ten-release-4-player-availability-reports-per-week
  5. "Portends well for the future in the back 7 at least." Not a criticism of this comment, just a reality check: the Ducks like so many programs seem to lose guys who want to enter the portal. Hope all those guys are still in Eugene in 2027.
  6. Maryland fired their coach today. The Ducks were a recruiting finalist for QB Malik Washington who visited Eugene. So, my thought? Way too early to be considering transfer QBs when it is only half-way thru the season.
  7. FBS opponents: 5-1 – Boise State 4-2 – Oklahoma St (lost by 14 at Tulsa, by 3 at Houston) 6-1 – USC 6-0 – UCLA 5-2 – Nebraska (lost by 3 each to Indiana/Oregon) 26-6 Wonder how this compares to other FBS opponent schedules for teams at or near Top 25?
  8. USC viewership 2.0 million - Noon – NBC – San Jose St 1.32M – 6:00 – Fox – Fresno St 1.72M – 12:30 – CBS – at Rutgers 5.0M – 4:30 – NBC – Oregon 2.56M – 4:30 – NBC – Washington 2.92M – 4:30 – NBC – at Penn St
  9. This is USC's current string of consecutive TV games: 4:30 is obviously 7:30 pm ET 4:30 – NBC - Oregon 4:30 – NBC - Washington 4:30 – NBC - @ Penn State 4:30 – NBC - @ Wisconsin 4:30 – NBC - Ohio State - will be USC's 6th NBC game this season @ Indiana
  10. The "rule" changed July 1, 2026. But, the new rule requires a transfer during a designated portal period - January, I think. If the athlete meets the calendar requirements, then he/she can transfer more than once and be immediately eligible. I think that means if a QB has already transferred once and been immediately eligible, he can not do it again unless it is in the January portal. If he goes through spring practice, then wants to transfer again during the summer, he cannot be eligible. Or, it is possible I don't have a clue what I'm talking about. laugh
  11. Probably not a good time for Dante to be missing the last two weeks. Total defense rank this week, yes - Oregon opponent: 4-Michigan - yes 8-Ohio St - yes 10-Indiana 11-Nebraska - yes 17-Wisconsin 18-Minnesota 20-UCLA - yes 22-Iowa 31-Penn St 41-Oregon 48-Washington - yes 56-Mich State - yes 63-USC - yes 73-Ok State - yes 83-Maryland 84-Northwestern - yes 86-Boise St - yes 92-Illinois - yes 113-Rutgers 117--Purdue
  12. Don't normally, but listened to Coach Rhule's Monday press conference. As you might imagine he gets asked a lot of questions on in-game decisions. One of the myriad of decisions questions was returning kickoffs. He talked about hang time, and how pre-game he thought there would be more opportunities in the kickoff return game because Oregon's kicker has shown low hang time which means once the receiver catches the ball there should be more opportunity for better returns. He said basically he has a rule to fair catch when opponent is showing 4 sec. hang time, but Oregon is below that. He talked about why he took timeouts when he did. What they were trying to do on defense....and though lost to both Indiana and Oregon proud of how few points were scored. Other "adjustment" topics were covered. It was interesting stuff. Felt Oregon's 4th Q was more run oriented plays than expected which they were unable to stop 1st downs.
  13. That will be Northwestern's third straight Peacock game.

  17. With Sayin's injury today, there are now 6 starting QBs in the Big Ten who are out with injuries. Along with starters who aren't meeting expectations, it is something every reserve QB should think about before flirting with the portal.
  18. "...pick up Sagapoleute next year or the Oregon State QB..." Maybe let the season play out? Total defense ranking entering today’s games based on 6 games: 77-WSU 81-Utah State 87-Boise St 102-Fresno St 111-UTEP - 451 by OSU 127-Tex State 135 –SDSU - 651 by OSU 138-Colo State - 653 by OSU
  19. On the Sunday morning radio sports show he shares, Geoff Schwartz was bemoaning the O-line play vs UCLA. It was his contention that Oregon did not run a single play on offense without at least one screwup in assignment by an O-lineman. He said it was apparent the coaching staff was getting frustrated and were trying in-game substitutions of players who screwed up, but as soon as something was "fixed" then there would be a screwup elsewhere with a different player. Then, a player pulled out would be rotated back in and screwup again.
  20. In 2004, the Ducks went 5-6 and Bellotti hired Gary Crowton to shake up the offense. In 2005, they went 10-2. 2004 was the last UCLA win in Autzen until 2026. Deseret NewsCrowton lands Oregon jobGary Crowton hadn't had a winning season since 2001 when he lost to the University of Utah last November. Just 11 days later, he didn't have a job.
  21. "Where is Oregon?" total defense/game before last weekend: 4-Indiana 6-Michigan 12-Minnesota 18-Nebraska 19-Ohio St 20-Wisconsin 28-Penn St 29-Iowa 41-UCLA 49-Houston - Beavs best opponent 50-Washington 52-Maryland 61-Oregon 73-WSU - best of Pac12 would rank 14th in Big Ten
  22. Before everyone gets too enamored with Oregon State's offense, let me offer these national ranking stats prior to last Saturday. National ranking, total defense: 49-Houston 71-Tex Tech 73-WSU 76-Fresno St 78-Utah St 82-Oregon St 90-Boise St 125-Tex State 129-SDSU 137-Colorado St That includes 8 for the Pac12, now here's the top 8 in the Big Ten: 4-Indiana 6-Michigan 12-Minnesota 18-Nebraska 19-Ohio St 20-Wisconsin 28-Penn St 29-Iowa
