I think it's more of an insult that Mississippi didn't drop out of the top 15. They have looked horrible on defense, and Chamblis is not going to bail them out. It's all for getting 5 or 6 into the playoffs. Right now, Mississippi looks worse than OBD does on defense. The SEC is literally Georgia and everyone else. Though Florida is going to give them problems this year. I like Mississippi State's Offense. Too bad their defense is worse than Ole Miss'. That game will be a basketball score for sure(lol). The SEC still has more athletic and agile players than everybody else. That is part of it. Coaches really do have to out coach that advantage. Few have.

Agreed. Not to mention everyone knows the QB is going to slide. It's absolutely just a matter of touching him down when he does. Should be a rule in fact. The guy was trying to injure him. He was headhunting. He lunged forward, and loaded his elbow for the kill shot. And despite hitting with his shoulders, the elbow motion was for more momentum. He would have hit him with his helmet if it were allowed. It was viscous, malicious, and highly intentional. Ever since that Pitt QB faked a slide, and they changed the rules so QBs couldn't do that, it has been obvious players are trying to hurt QBs that slide. All players have to do is breakdown and wait for the slide. Then walk up and tap him on the shoulder pads. It's not even debatable. The plays when RBs and WRs make an unconventional move is when you see hits like that. That is the only time you give a defender the benefit of the doubt. And those should be a five yard penalty and an automatic first down. People are making excuses for guys to intentionally injure QBs that will always slide in the open field.

Please correct me where I am wrong as I don't understand all the football rules but.... As far as I understand the nanosecond a QB starts to slide they are down. Looking at the stills Dante starts sliding while the defender is still somewhat upright. His "tackle" was aimed at the shin level of an upright runner so I think he would have done a more traditional tackle if he thought Moore was running. So by my understanding his shoulder missile was intentionally aimed at where he thought Moore's head/shoulder area was going to be. So I just don't get the excuse making even by so called experts victim blaming Moore for sliding late. I have watched it over and over and looked at stills and cannot grasp how that can be anything but an intentionally head seeeking hit on a runner that is by rule already down. Then USC allows that utterly half hearted "apologies" to come out. They both seemed fake and insincere. I would much rather no apology be issues than a scumbag in sheep's clothing apology come out. Heck, Chris Simmspleton issued a seemingly more sincere apology. I didn't hate USC at all before but they are now part of my Unholy Hate Trinity with OSewe and The Montlake Bundyies...welcome SoCal Orenthals. Insert every curse word here.

When I saw some fans saying it was time to have Raiola start over Moore after the PSU game, I said hold on. He was 11-11 against reserves for a very bad team. I'm not impressed. Well Raiola just impressed me! When Dante gets back he might be a Heisman candidate reserve QB. Raiola made the offense click. Period.

That's a pretty fair assessment. I wasn't feeling good about the tone of the game, despite Moore taking the reigns and finally running. I felt very confident Raiola was going to kill it. He showed it in the Spring, he showed it last week. I also believe Mehringer calls better plays for Raiola. They haven't figured out the best way to get Moore in rhythm. Moore is lights out when he gets out of his own head. If Moore ever relaxes, and starts going for the throat, he will be lethal. Right now that's a big if. Hope he recovers and continues to run. Though I'm sure they're going to tell him to slide ten yards away from everyone from now on.

Methinks this shows JJ may have been a major threat, had he been available.

USC... Wasted talent. They finally get an infusion of talent, and Riley can't get out his own way. I think they brought in Paterson to replace him. Let's see if Patterson gets more out of that defense. They are hitting harder, but that team still would when the chips are down. It's more than morally bankrupt. This team has no soul. Congrats on your boys Gat. They look really, really good. You guys have a real shot at the playoffs.

Riley is a narcissist. There is no doubt. I am not a doctor however due to issues with an individual during my career I learned a ton from professionals about this disorder. A narcissist does not have empathy. Very little.....they have limited feelings about most anybody. If they apologize it is not sincere. Any problem with performance.....they deflect blame. It's always somebody else. Good performance.....they brag. So not morally lacking...... they just don't care.

Oregon could have just given USC the Penn St (2025) treatment. This could begin the slide that leads to Riley being excused from the Southern California area.

The one thing I missed until I watched this video is that when Stephens was dancing around mocking Dante & Oregon, as he's moving backwards across the goal line, he then flips off the fans with both hands. It would be really difficult for this guy to have done anything worse than he did out there. Stay classy, USC
