  2. Texas Tech forced a 3-and-out. Arizona is going to have to hope they can stop them on defense and quickly score on offense.
  3. I just took a look and Youtube is broadcasting this game. I have Peacock streaming so I am just fine.
  4. Yep. Even the poorest of college kids make bad decisions. They just make them in crappy cars while drinking the cheap stuff. I’ve been there. I went to college in a dry county in the south. We had to drive 30 miles to get to the nearest liquor/beer store. You can probably guess how we passed the time on the long drive back. Keep in mind that we were usually bootlegging because we would collect money and bring back several cases/kegs, etc. across county lines. I think the limit per person was 48 beers and a fifth of spirits. When you’re buying for a party, that limit gets busted pretty easily. However, the key to not getting busted was driving an inconspicuous vehicle (not a black Trans-Am) and driving the speed limit.
  5. Arizona getting the ball back down by 4 with 4:29 remaining in the game.
  6. I highly doubt Akili sees the field. Lanning is fighting for his coaching life right now. He is fighting to keep his kids in Eugene schools. DL is not going to put a kid out there that has no idea what he is doing. If DM and DR can't play the position with a combined 12,000 career passing yard, what makes anyone think this coaching staff has Akili, who is somewhere around zero career passing yards, can get the job done. Not sure how this is even a consideration at this point.
  7. Agreed. If your freaken 4/5 star QBs are no where near field ready by year two in the system then fire the guy who wasted the team's time and resources on that player. The Ducks have brought in a galaxy of stars QB recruits and yet can't seem to find one in the last ten years that's field ready. Meanwhile just up the road the Beavers are becoming a playoff dark horse behind an FCS quarterback, a no star receiver and a first year coach.
  8. Lanning said they've had some packages for him, I don't think KJ would be getting fed to the wolves if he sees the field. The kid is built like Cam Newton with the big arm as well, and I'd use him in ways like they did Cam. Gus Malzhan would go empty and spread the WR's out, then run power and counter for Cam. He had Jet Motion Sweep zone/read with RB Dyer they ran. I'd run that with Dak as the jet in full sprint and teams would be caught off guard.
  9. Throwing to the edge has been an issue the last couple weeks...
  10. When these young men and a running back coach commit really egregious behavior like street racing, evading the police and drunk driving, I would boot them off the team. I mentioned in another thread that I lost a family member to a drunk driver. Dan Lanning seemed to give RaShaad Samples light punishment and the players know this. Bad actions should have consequences.
  11. Well, no Peacock, crappy Hugh's net, resorting to am radio today for Ducks game. At least I get to watch the Trojans crumble.
  12. My feeling is that after a year of practice if a player isnt ready for game time they should move along. Maybe transfer to a Portland State level team. I come from the school of hard knocks so my feelings may be different than some.
  13. Today

  14. Exactly. If what is reported is true, that was extremely dangerous and idiotic and deserves very significant consequences. I’m not the coach, but if I was, he wouldn’t take another snap in an Oregon jersey. Maybe he should go talk to Henry Ruggs before it’s too late.
  15. My worry is if they game plan to stop the run and come out in a loaded eight-man box. The QB will need to check out of that and throw to the edge. We can't afford to run into an eight-man box as much as we did against Nebraska. We will have to dump the screen, or we have that RPO to the TE out the backside. Let's see if we get any checks from Riola at the line.
  16. CHIP KELLEY (oops, I mean) Northwestern Wildcats 34-10 1 1 141
  17. Im preparing my self for the possibility of shutting it of by halftime.☹️
  18. I disagree about throwing a kid that isn't ready out there to the wolves. It could ruin any chance they have of making a real impact with a real OC and a real QB coach. Is he just going to go out there and get wrecked and lose all confidence? Are these coaches going to realistically put him in position to actually be successful or is he an attempted bandaid for an offense that is bleeding out? Would any game expirence, even if bad, outweigh these possible detriments to his development? I get the merit of wanting to try out a young guy in in trying out a guy who is not ready are we doing them a disservice?
  19. The game is being televised on Peacock. If you don't have Peacock streaming, I see that it is also being broadcast on NBCSN (Sports Network) on cable.
  20. Excellent take. That kind of perspective is why we are projected to win by bettors.
