  2. With Bob Chesney's 2026 UCLA, I prefer the Origin of Thump! These Bruins will smash-mouth you for 60 minutes. Trench play and tackling will decide this game. It's not the greatest team with the greatest offense, but going on the road and holding better-than-average QB Washington and Maryland to 3 points was impressive. To date, this is the second screening of Cig from JMU to Indiana.
  3. And I will add that, unfortunately 😉, I do know several USC fans, and they are excellent fans and good people. I've spoken or texted with three of them since Saturday and they are sickened and absolutely disgusted by the behavior of their program. While they were already unimpressed Riley before Saturday, and were pretty much already wanting him fired, after what happened Saturday night, they were livid... genuinely livid. While these guys don't have uber-wealthy kind of money, they all do quite well and they all would make a special donation toward Riley's $70 million dollar buyout. Although USC, obviously, completely sucks, I would bet that after Saturday, a significant percentage of their fans feel the same way. Riley might be wise to avoid airport tarmacs, as he may soon find himself getting the "Kiffin Maneuver."
  4. Not this season's SAG. He looked lost against Clemson and is in a sophomore slump under new OC Jordan Summerville, a former grad assistant at Oregon. The 30-year-old Summerville was the Tampa Bay QB coach and a strange hire by Tosh. He was brought in to teach SAG NFL quarterbacking. WHY?
  5. The Oregon Ducks are breaking out something special for this massive game against the UCLA Bruins in Week 6. On Tuesday, Oregon finally unveiled their "Origin of Speed" uniforms, which celebrate the history of innovation and track speed in Eugene. Highlighting voices like LaMichael James, DeAnthony Thomas, and Devon Allen, all football players who were also celebrated on the track, the Ducks dive into the lore of Steve Prefontaine and the importance of Hayward Field in Tracktown, USA. https://duckswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/ducks/football/2026/09/29/oregon-football-uniform-combination-ucla-bruins/92002138007/
  6. 5 years to play 5. Under the five year eligibility rule, there are no more redshirt seasons. Post-2026, Dante has another season of eligibility remaining, and Raiola is eligible in 2027 and 2028. With revenue-sharing and NIL, I expect many players will play college 'semipro' sports and delay going pro.
  7. It takes no effort for someone or anyone to reach out and show compassion and understanding. Good on him. Charles, this is truly a one of a kind forum and thank you for all your efforts. I understand why you don't want to add any extra monitoring to your schedule. Who needs that? This Duck gray beard supports you 110% just as Riley is oblivious and supports bad behaviour. I have friends and business associates in Texas, New York, Indiana Utah and Idaho that expressed their disgust at the bad sideline antics. Even my moronic, lifetime friends who are die hard huskies did not condone those actions. Go Ducks......
  8. Most emotionally charged DvT yet. As always, very well produced and edited, even if it tugs at the homer heartstrings a bit. One damning aspect is the obfuscation on the part of the U$C announcers as they victim blame Dante for not really sliding feet first then absolve the defender of targeting. This is followed by a, shall we say, less than flattering image of an older Trojan fan repeatedly shouting "f/u" at the refs and Oregon bench once the targeting call was confirmed. All fan bases have their toxic components and Oregon is no exception. But, wow, this is Roman gladiator crowd stuff. How apt that the venue was the Coliseum. It sheds a bad light on Riley, the SC leadership and their fans. All the more reason to appreciate the team that OBD is and the coach that we have. Full recovery for Dante Moore!

  10. USC radio broadcast ripped for 'embarrassing' call of Desmond Stephens II hit on Dante MooreWith Moore now in concussion protocol from a scary hit he took on a targeting call, and linebacker Desman Stephens II being suspended by USC for the hit and his reaction afterward, there has been plenty of controversy surrounding the situation. In yet another aspect of the Stephens-Moore hit, college football fans have been critical of USC's radio broadcast team for how they framed the targeting call in real time when it happened. Here's a look at the viral clip from USC's radio broadcast and how fans have reacted. USC radio broadcast ripped for call of hit on Dante MooreAfter its games, Oregon posts a weekly YouTube montage showing moments from around the stadium. And after the Ducks' win over USC, an episode titled "For Your Brother" was released, which includes the moments after Moore was hit by Stephens and carted off the field. One of the clips included was from USC's radio broadcast. Yeah sure 🙄 After watching the replay, Arbogast — who has called Trojans games for nearly four decades — stuck by his words, saying he didn't think it looked like targeting. Analyst Shaun Cody, meanwhile, gave a look to the camera in the booth that indicated he did think it was targeting. When the clip of the radio call made its way to social media on Monday night and Tuesday morning, fans were critical of Arbogast for appealing too much to the Trojans crowd, misrepresenting the hit. 11. Joey Harrington, on Talkin' Ducks, said that that incompletion was on the young receiver, Hampton. Riola correctly recognized zone coverage and the wide receiver should have sat, instead of continuing the route. The result was a pass behind him but it was the right read and execution by Riola. Someone also mentioned that the long TD was a result of Riola’s audible at the line of scrimmage. He recognized that a freshman USC corner was guarding an experienced, stud WR (Dakorien Moore?) and called for the double move.

  13. Stock up, Stock down for these players. I think Hurych being down is somewhat unfair as he was attempting off-center long pooch kicks. Oregon football stock report after Week 4: Stock up, stock down
  14. Ten players who have surprised one way or another. Ten Ducks whose roles have been surprising through four games
  15. A USC fan registered to join this forum, but not for the usual reasons I see from opposing fans. He wanted to apologize for what happened to Dante Moore, and wished for a full and speedy recovery for him. I wanted to give him credit, (Andrew Reed) and convey his great sportsmanship, but I am not opening the door for what could end up being a ton more moderating work. My thanks to him for his well-wishes, and it reminds us that not all fans are the same. At all schools you have terrible fans, and great ones. I thank him for his intent, and hopefully this can inspire more goodwill on both sides.
  16. I didn't initially see that while watching the game. Talk about the poorest sportsmanship that we've ever seen... If Riley had any leadership qualities, he would've kicked him off the team as an example for everyone else.

  21. I saw some excellent pass protection and blitz pick ups from our running backs as well! Great team effort.
  22. Hang in there Dante. All Duck fans are pulling forYa!
  23. In the game there were 2 other roughing/targeting the QB hits. There was at least 1 blatant late hit out of bounds. There were many chippy hits, slaps and chirping. I think USC was encouraged to try and play "tough". Without any real mature direction from coaching staff, the play escalated out of control quick. Coaches need to be held accountable too.
  24. Great article David thank you. I am one who wonders if Dante will get his job back. To is hard to argue with what DR brigs to the table. That said, did it feel to anyone else the the Ducks just wore USuC down in the 4th quarter? It felt to me like Oregon had their way pushing the Trojans around on both sites of the ball in the last 10 minutes or so.
  25. Considering it's PP, that's a significant departure from past behavior.
  26. Sorry David - I should have said thank you for posting a great article before I posted!
  27. Exactly... Breakdown to tackle, you know he will slide. If he doesn't, you're prepared to tackle him.
