He was 11-11 with three TD passes in a limited appearance....and looked VERY accurate. More accurate than Moore?

Again...there were at least two plays where Dante Moore was throwing to the short field receiver without pressure, while WRs were getting open downfield for big potential gains or touchdowns. Is that Moore's lack of vision, or what he is being told to do? I do not know...

With all the receivers open downfield and ignored vs. Oklahoma State....I cannot help but wonder if we would have won that game if Raiola was at QB?

Now, I am not asserting that Raiola should replace Moore; Dante has earned his spot, and the damage to him and Oregon would be significant. But if he gets hurt, and when we consider next year--we look good with Raiola.

I thought Raiola looked like a football player last night. He was slinging it and making plays. Scoring td. Love the side arm.

I will just say I was very impressed.

Raiola is also much more mobile than Dante Moore, which would be a big help with this year's offensive line.

By no means am I hoping for it, but It would be very interesting to see what Coach Lanning would do, if the Ducks were down big at halftime against USC.

Moore throws a nicer deep ball still.

Both looked in command of the huddle which is a good thing.

But I have a feeling that Raiola might have more of the "it" factor. He just has better vision from the short sample size we got.

He looked like he might be more athletic, and I think that's something that we could really use with the struggles we have with the O-line.

Everyone though needs to slow down since it was against a team that might have it's hands full against the best high school teams in Texas or Florida.

I think most are taking it with a huge grain of salt. Not sure what you mean by "everyone needs to slow down".

Also there are still things you can see growth on regardless of opponent. We are just trying to build up some sunshine after getting beat last week.

Of course a sample size of one and against PSU doesn't have me calling for him to replace DM.

But... DM didn't see some open receivers yet again and doesn't have the patience to let plays develop.

Raiola showed he can go through progressions and let a play develop. Granted... He had loads of time to do that against PSU but he also DID IT!

I think I saw what y'all saw.

He just might be the better qb for us... Maybe more poise and It factor

Was never really impressed with the bits and pieces I saw of him at Nebraska. He looked good last night. 11-11? I feel like I owe him an apology.

Me too. I did not watch him play at all at Nebraska, and when he was announced as transferring to Oregon… I was very “Meh,” about it.

But I saw the very accurate poised quarterback on Saturday…

He’s accurate and not afraid to throw into tight windows and throw receivers open. IMO, you have a higher probability of explosive plays with him in the game, but maybe also a higher risk of turnovers.

Good news that they have their QB for next season.

Depends on if you want to win.......if you want to be nice guys Dante will start.......if you want to win Dylan should be given his chance if the Ducks don't move it against USC by half time. If Rutgers can hang 35 on them......at the half we should have 24.

The Wall Street Journal reported this morning that a former walk-on quarterback at the University of Southern North Dakota noticed that Raiola taps his foot to the rhythm of "Shout" every time a pass play is called.

So far this season DM has not played like an elite QB. I have had the sense that DM is in the “don’t mess this up mode”, versus the try to stop this passing play mode.

Personally, I think it is a combination of an OC issue, and DM issue that needs to be fixed immediately.

DR is our QB for NEXT season. His performance Friday night was impressive. He throws a very catchable ball, with a quick release, and his accuracy is impressive.

Before we get too excited … let’s not forget he was going against Portland State in a game the Ducks won 84-0.

DM is our QB, but it’s comforting to know that we have a very capable backup.

I still don't know how much information we have on how big of an OC issue we have.

Ducks executed well... DM didn't see receivers on some plays. Not sure how an OC fixes that problem.

I have some other thoughts that are in a bigger article tomorrow. It's in edit mode right now.

I felt a Farve/Nix vibe when DR was out there. Just a tough kid out there playing ball.

With DM I get a vibe of fragility. DM comes across as psychologically fragile. I don't know how you fix that as a coach.
